There's a bit of equipment called rage poison that raises the value of cards by 1, my guess is you'll need to unlock that and use it to get the upgrade you're looking for.
I don't think I get it either, I thought they said they didn't use a cloak. My best guess is they had 2-3 sneak cards in play, the chest at level 21 and 3-4 cards with the little arrow that increases path difficulty all positioned perfectly. That could theoretically give you a max of 24 stealth... I think.
I've NEVER liked card games but this one is absolutely amazing, like others have said think of this game like thief meets a card game, the graphics, animations, and layout are all amazing. As for this being a battery draining, I don't see any SUPER noticeable draining of battery I can play card thief longer than other games on my phone.
I'm literally posting to reiterate my LOVE for this game just so this thread stays hot in the face of the juggernaut that the Death Road to Canada thread will become. In a sensible world every iOS gamer would buy both of these games, and neither would overshadow the other. But I know that some gamers have been saving money to get Death Road. To which I must say: SPEND 2 BUCKS ON CARD THIEF!!!!!!! Two dollars! For one of the most enjoyable, well-contained, perfectly realized, in-depth but accessible mobile strategy games available on the AppStore. Two bucks for Card Thief! Do it! Good for a quick snack or a whole meal. Delicious. Nutritious. Indietastic. Do not overlook this game!
Does gold have any use? Or is it just for the purposes of the score? I've had a few runs where I've gotten too greedy and wasn't able to get the chest (wait too long and you won't have enough stealth to pick it up). I'll leave the castle with some gold, but it seems to only be reflected in the score and nowhere else. (Love this game!)
I'm loving this game, more than card crawl! I have a nub question I'm on the 3rd castle and I was looking at one of the upgrades. It says to sneak past an owl, wolf and overseer. Which one is the overseer? I looked at my equipment and I have killed one at one point but they all the guards looks the same. I know it's not the warden with the torch. Am I missing something? Any info would be appreciated. Seriously loving this game
These may have been covered in the last seven pages, but: I'm never sure whether I'll be caught or not. Sometimes I'm sure a move I've made will result in me being captured (0 stealth points, in the light, near a guard) but it doesn't. Other times, I'm fairly sure I'm ok (maybe negative stealth points but in a shadow, etc.) and I'm captured. I've played the tutorial and it seems in some cases I'll be captured if I'm at 0 or lower but other times it's based on my stealth value relative to the guard's value. Can someone explain this? What do the eye icons at the upper left mean? I think the eye icon on the bottom means a guard is watching a guard, but what about upper left?
Is the guard looking in your direction? Can the guard see in the dark? Eyes mean the card is being watched. You might want to replay the tutorial again as it seems you've missed a few things.
I've played it a couple times - I think it explains eyes on the bottom (card being watched) but not eyes on the upper left of the card.
