Hey guys, just wanted to hop in and tell you guys that the patch has of this morning been submitted to Apple. This patch addresses stability issues first and foremost. I have been playing the game on my 4S phone and it's much more stable now. We have also changed the way the game handles cards when you enlarge them on small screens, so things will be easier to read as well. As this patch is in the process we are looking into changing how to game handles pushing the home button so you don't have to restart the level when you have to exit the game. We are also adding some other new cool features will change the flow of the game and it should alleviate the slog of traversing empty levels. Thanks for your patience and thank you very much for the nomination for game of the week!
- "Consider the matter of Card Dungeons stubborn, persnickety camera" - "camera control is, as you point out, the other big flaw" @CardDungeon, based on quite a few "complaints" (mine included) about the camera, is there anything you can do, or plan to do, about addressing it? thanks...
Another bug that occurred to me this morning (first time it's happened): After defeating the boss, the portal randomly spawned (as it should) but spawned ontop of me. I thought that's fine and moved over 1 spot, but then couldn't click on the portal. Trying so just moved me underneath the portal again. In the end I had to force quit and start again at 3-1.
Anything on the game saving properly, instead of sending us back to the beginning of the dungeon level, but with the current cards and their status?
Not in this patch, I'm afraid. We wanted to address the stability issues first and foremost. It's on the docket for next patch, though.
Welp were getting there. cameras much better at least. Still crashing but not as much I think. Being able to read the cards is a huge help. Good job dev and keep up the good work !
Aww... I beat the last dragon in the last dungeon and the portal opened up. When I stepped through the game crashed and I couldn't continue. My god, devs, can you private message me the ending?
This game is fun, BUT count me in as one who experiences constant crashes. Really frustrating to lose so much progress. I will keep it on my iPad Mini & then play again after they update it. Hopefully, they will fix this problem.
Still got my eye on this. Will happily pay full price once I don't see the word "crash" in every thread page.
Card Dungeon is now available on Android! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Playtap.CardDungeon
Is there enough incentive to keep playing? I have yet to complete the map, but I have unlocked all the skills both + and - now I find myself collecting gems with nothing to spend them on. I keep collecting gold but can't reliably spend it. What is the point of having gems continue to pile up but no skills to unlock? Why not have a high cost gem system where the player can permanently acquire a card or gear (ala dungelot.)
There isn't really any incentive. As I mentioned above the game crashes when you step through the last portal so if there is any kind of ending you don't even see that. Disappointing.
No, but the game crashed for me when I killed the final dragon. Worked alright the 2nd time though, the way they did the credits was amusing, until it crashed when I was trying to read a card :| This is post update. As for incentive to keep playing, admittedly I've already stopped after finishing the game. I didn't find anything that added replayability, most of the levels to me seemed the same, so the game itself was already repetitive without even starting a new game. Admittedly I did enjoy the game first time around and don't regret purchasing it, I just don't feel anything compelling me to play it again.
