Hey! There's a new update out now, if you have been stuck on the title menu this update should take care of it! The rotation error is fixed too.
Cant find part 1 or 2 on the USA App Store. Doesnt even come up in my purchased list when searching for it.
Looks like every game from the developer is gone completely. And with iTunes on PC not able to backup apps anymore, if you didn't have them on your iDevice they are gone for good, you'll never play them again. That is not ok to me. I take iOS gaming seriously, I've invested heavily in it because I believed it to be the evolution of gaming. I was wrong and I'm saddened to see it evolve into the throwaway culture it has become.
That's really unfortunate to hear. I really liked their games. As a side note, I found it interesting that I liked their older games more. The new "big" iOS releases haven't made me fall in love like the old games. After a good amount of playthrough with CCN2 I can finally say that CCN1 is definitely better. CCN2 has a few nice features and seems like more collecting but the gameplay is so much smoother in 1 that CCN2 makes it feel like a hassle to play unfortunately. CCN1 like someone else said, I couldn't put it down. Everything just ran smooth and the only thing I wanted was a better deck manager (using the full screen estate, better touch options, etc). Everything else in CCN1 was near perfect. The conductive / timers on cards just completely ruins the flow and you end up with a jammed board more often than not. I couldn't bring myself to finish CCN2 like I did CCN1 where I dreaded reaching the end of that amazing journey. Then Psycard on another note was probably the only game I dislike from them. I love the design but it was way too random. It was a guessing game (using hints of course) where the AI could guess better than you. Overall that game felt too luck based and too dependent on AI ability. This is just my opinion of course. I would hope they just reboot CCN1 with an expansion or just reuse the old mechanics again. This might be a case of trying to innovate when it's not really necessary. But I guess people might end up complaining the games were too similar to the old ones if they didn't change it up?
This is so strange and so abrupt that I can't believe it. I'm hoping maybe it's just some business admin stuff that needs to be sorted out (like a sale of business or something). I'd imagine this game and the original would bring a reasonable contribution of income (not saying massive), so why take it off the App Store all of a sudden. I agree that the original card city nights just had a better flow. I also played it to the very end which I rarely do with games and enjoyed it the whole way (which I also rarely experience). CCN2 however started to feel like a bit of a chore to be honest. The AI decks felt way to OP/stacked. And the conductive timer thingy IMO just didnt feel fluid and crammed the board. Way to many condictive cards. That whole non conductive thing was just a big crippling game strategy. I would've been happy with a rehash of CCN1 perhaps even better if they could of found a way to take it to the next level but without a dominating mechanic like conductive. Either way CCN2 is still a better game than its rivals anyway.
According to Twitter, their catalog will be back in a couple of days. No reason given for why they were removed.
