I really like and respect the way the developer have a launch price (for months) and then set up a fixed price and intend to have no sales. It makes Carcassonne a truly stands out game in my collections, like a prestige game. Hopefully they launch the expansions with special price too before it goes to the intended price.
Well, maybe they won't discount the game itself, but I do hope they'll offer intro pricing on the expansions. Either way I'll buy them both, though, and all the ones to come. The sooner the better!
According to the developers, the expansions aren't going to cost very much, so they probably won't be on special. I honestly can't see The River II going for more than $1-$2 because of the nature of that expansion, and maybe $2-$3 for I&C.

I apologize if this has already been asked, but will the upcoming expansions transfer across devices, assuming that the devices in question use the same Apple I.D.? Apple's support page says that non-replenishable IAPs transfer across devices, but I'd just like a clarification.
No more results. I started the group match at the same time as the individual match and the game is going very slow. We're in the final stretch, but sometimes it takes days to get to my turn again.
They do, but there are a few details to be aware of. If you've purchased the app twice using two different Apple IDs (I'm guessing you haven't, but this occasionally comes up when my wife and I both download a free app using our own Apple IDs), then you can't re-download the in-app purchases for free using one of the Apple IDs on the other device. It will explicitly prompt you to re-buy it. If the app has been purchased/downloaded using the same Apple ID on both devices, then you can re-download that in-app purchase for free on the other device as long as you do it with the same Apple ID.
I think River II will probably be $1 or $2, yes, but I suspect I&C will be $5. It will be worth it, though. I&C is one of the best expansions. Also, I really don't think the River II is going to be any fun if you play that part of the game slow asynch style. It's a good enhancement... if you aren't waiting an hour to place your second river tile....
I haven't purchased the app as of yet, so I don't think I'll be having that problem. Thanks for answering my question.
Any news on when the update/expansions will be available? Soooo anxious to play with I&C and R2. Even more so now that the expansion to Ascension is out. Makes me chomp at the bit even more for the Carcassonne expansions.
According to their twitter account, the update/expansions has been submitted to Apple, so it should be any day now. Yeah! https://twitter.com/carcassonneapp/status/145242461080518656
The devs have noted that their submissions usually take between two and ten days to be approved, so it seems likely we'll see the update next week.
Once the expansions are purchased, will they be available in offline AI games? Pardon if it's a silly question, but I'm somewhat new to games like these.
Any info of what the upcoming expansion be? Side note: the Ascension developer says approval normally takes 5 (working?) days. So next week will be a fun week.
I sure hope so as this is my primary method of play and this game has such great AI, it sure would be lame if they now completely dropped the ball.
