I wish Quick Matches allowed more then 2 players. There's never been any word on adding such a feature. Ideally this would involve a lobby like in Ticket to Ride. I'd rather be playing live games myself, but not limited to 2 players, which is pretty dull in Carcassonne. As far as crashing, after updating I did have a couple crashes not long after, and I got a "Send Crash Report" dialogue, which I've never seen before. However, after those initial 2 crashes it's been behaving itself fine.
I'm on a 4th Gen iPod Touch, 32GB. I'm starting to think now that maybe it has to do with these two games (the only ones I have going at the moment). Both games I think were started before the update so maybe I'm getting the error with just the old games. I will finish them up and start some new ones and see if the issue continues. I see the crash report pop up each time I try to send a chat message.
Has there been any talk about Carcassonne showing up in the Mac App store? I'd LOVE this, especially if they made it so it could connect with people who are using their iphones and ipads. Btw if you want to play, feel free to add me. Info is in my sig.
I would be for this as well. Also would love it to show up on Windows too. Even Android and WP7. The more (real) friends I can play Carcassonne with, the better.
Delete the app, restart your device, install new app & restart your device. Worked fine for me when I had similar problem recently.
A place to meet and play Carcassonne and other iOS Board Games? Hello, Being iOS Board Game enthusiasts, Carcassonne fans, as well as board game designers ourselves, we wanted to create an fun Game Night! experience where people can gather on Monday nights (from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am PST) to play games of their choice while also using the Chat feature on the Game Night! page. For the first Game Night! we're suggesting that people come and set up game sessions of: - Carcassonne - Ticket to Ride - Cargo Runners (our own recently-released game) Join us if you can on Monday night. We will be curious to chat with others who love playing games using Online Multiplayer through Game Center or other formats. [Click Here] to check out the Game Night! page. Sincerely, Jeff
I hope they get the update with the first couple expansions out soon, but truth be told, I'm ready for all the expansions to be available. It's a bummer that the next update will only have Inns & Cathedrals and The River II. Why not both River expansions, at the least? Oh well. I still love the game and will love it more with those expansions.
My hope is that those expansions will sell really well, and prompt the eventual iOS release of ALL Carcassonne expansions.
It's possible but the developers do like to take their time on the updates. I'm still ejoying the main game especially with the new players from this forum.
Can someone please tell me how this game is asynchronous? Or how to make it asynchronous. Every review I've read says it is yet when I play an online match there's a timer on my turn and when I leave te app the timer just runs out and I lose whether I started my turn while in the app or not in the app it just goes straight to my timer and runs out.... ?
If you play against random people it is live with a timer but if you play with friends it is pure asynchronous. Strange I know, I would like to play async against random people but you can't, you have to friend them first. Add me in gamecenter and we can have a game. ' Kevlarx '
