I just bought physical Traders & Builders as for me it's the best expansion. Those post scoring resources thing is great! I just hope, whatever expansion they add, it would be still playable on older iDevices (such as mine)
My only critic to iDevice version is type of grass color. It's to strong and heavy, i'd love to see green with more yellow in it, as in physical version. Also some slight roundness on corners of tiles wont be hurt, and maybe spacing between placed tiles is not necessary.
I hope we get Inn's & Cathedrals, but I'll take anything. I even like the River, though it's a pretty minor expansion. Hopefully we get a DLC pack with a bunch of expansions, rather then just one. Whatever we get, I can't wait.
I have been on the fence for this game since its launch. I am ready to pick it up as soon as it drops to the $2.99 price point. I already have the XBLA version and the expansion package so to speak. Now the game is $9.99. Not sure what the devs are thinking about. I doubt many iPod/iPhone users are willing to pay the extra for a universal app.
Actually this game is really lovely. Not sure about the new pricing, but still much cheaper than the real thing! Bit I am afraid the scoring might have a bug. Sometimes my farmers are just not counted in!
Are you sure that you are just not being outnumbered on fields? Check page 3 @ http://www.riograndegames.com/uploads/Game/Game_48_gameRules.pdf "What if a completed city or road has more than one follower? It is possible through clever placement of land tiles for there to be more than one thief on a road or more than one knight in a city. In a completed road or city, the player with the most thieves (on a road) or the most knights (in a city) earns all the points. When two or more players tie with the most thieves or knights, they each earn the total points for the road or city." (But also the same goes for the scoring fields at the end - See Last Page of PDF)
I played this a 100 times and never had a bug with counting Still have to try the updated version though...
I would never pay $10 for an RPG, but I'd pay $10 for Carcassonne. Fantastic game and great online. Best if played with (real) friends. Just depends on what you like.
I think my email for Carcassonne is bigwinnerx at gmail dot com. I'm not much able to play live but I can start up some asynchronous games.
Was thinking about picking this up after reading it got runner-up for GOTY, but not at $10. I hadn't realized the price went up. Hopefully they have a sale sometime...
