For those of you that don't use twitter - Tag games announced that Car Jack Streets for the iPhone is only weeks away! can't wait for this one, looks like a fun old school GTA. how much mature content will get through apple though? with all the fuss about alienmangle etc I'm thinking this one will have problems. I certainly hope you're wrong on that count. But i don't think the gore is so extreme in Car Jack Streets (based on vids of mobile version) so they might be ok. Besides couldn't Apple just slap an 18 rating on it? Anyway, good news about this game, looks really good!
It's not even the gore, it could be the drugs, hookers etc.... And no, Apple won't just slap that app (pun intended) with an 18 rating.
I think basically it depends on their mood, who reviews it. They (Apple) don't seem to be very consistent with their rules, and really is just a gamble as to what gets through and why. I don't think there is a rhyme or reason anymore...
i just checked out the video for payback (didnt even know this one was coming). looks impressive but im not sold on how the camera stays fixed on you and everything else keeps moving around. (does that makes sense? lol)
I actually like the view in payback much better. You can see the road ahead a bit more. it's like top down but from behind a little too. And I think the rotating view makes the car and character easier to control. I'm looking forward to Payback more than the other.
Paul, any news? I see from your twitter that we're in for some exciting news and I can only hope it's that the app has been submitted to Apple. Payback was a good appetizer, but now we want the main course.
Hhhmmm Hhmmm, well if you read the posts you will see that an exact date is not known. Just generally that it is coming within a few weeks....
