I keep forgetting that this game exists. Maybe it is because the developer hardly keep us up to date anymore.
So it's quarter one 2012. That's when this is supposed to release so any news? A new trailer would be nice because the last one was released on march 1st 2011
After seeing GTA3 ported to ios and the lack of news from the dev, I'm going into the group of "not sure this game will ever see the light"...
This seems to be far in development. But we can't forget that this head announced in September 09 so this could never be released
I really don't know. If you go to their webpage http://www.tagplay.com/ there's a link to CGS2 which opens the app store. I was really excited until I saw CJS1 appear in the app store. Of course, I wasn't expecting CJS2 to open, but at least an app with news regarding CJS2... Com'on TAG, is this cancelled or not? Is there an approximate date for it? Premium or freemium? Say something...
After this long I think the game needs to be perfect or not released. It's like duke nukem forever. In early September we got so much news and I expected it to release in December/January but now it looks as if it won't be out until may or never
I absolutely agree, which is why we are taking our time with the game. Guys, we know CJS2 has been a long time in the making, and certainly everyone at the studio is extremely eager to release the game because we are doing something very special. But we need to take our time and manage the game's development alongside other important considerations regarding the health of our company. The world is only just recovering (some say) from an enormous economic crisis which hit the games industry and small studio's like ours especially hard. But we are still here and we are still doing what we love, of course we want to share that with you and we will as soon as we can .
Insta-Buy for me, let me know when it's out! I loved CJS 1. Until GTA Chinatown came out for ios. This is gonna lure me back!
I'm excited to explore the map. Looks like some NYC inspired areas, some Miami inspired areas and then some forest and desert
Not sure if you're still taking suggestions, but here are the things you *need* to add: Store and Bank Robberies: go into a store and either kill the cashier or something (vague, I know). Then, after taking the money out of the register, an alarm sounds and you get a wanted level (or whatever y'all are gonna call it). You could also buy a duffel bag which will increase the amount of money you get from robberies. For banks: maybe a minigame where you have to crack the safe. After cracking it, an alarm goes off and you get a bigger wanted level (or a more severe police response or whatever your gonna use for the police system). There are hardly any games I see where you can rob stores and banks. But the main thing about these robberies is that they aren't mission based. You can rob stores and banks whenever you want. That's the biggest thing. Doing robberies as you please. Drug Dealing or something related to that (could even be candy if you going for a light-hearted approach): Ok, not sure what to add here. Maybe killing a gang that sells a certain kind of drug causes a response. Exampl: kill a bunch of mafia members (lets pretend the mafia sells caramel) and since the mafia isn't around as much to make caramel there is an increased demand for caramel. But eventually, the demand for caramel would go back to normal as the mafia gets new members. New ideas to come later.
Thank you! Your support is really awesome . Trust me, I have the luck of seeing this game every day - it's going to be pretttttyyyy special. If it doesn't lure you back I won't use gold to, because this game is better than gold! Yes the initial map will encapsulate many different environments, from dock yards, to residential parks, to cbds, to trailer towns! What is awesome though is that the map is being built in a modular format, so we can constantly add to the map after the game is launched - you wont get bored! No news is good news! It means we are hard at work Nico
First of all. WOW. Really awesome post Falldj with really great ideas! Thank you! I notice you mentioned mini games: is that something you are really keen on? We were actually discussing whether Car Jack Streets 2 needed mini games the other week as the gameplay, as it is, is really awesome right now, but if you think that mini games matched with activities not associated with the story (such as robbing banks on the fly!) will really add that wow factor we will certainly consider it. I especially like the idea of a mini game for banks and safes, with the more prestigious the bank (from a trailer town hut to an inner city mega bank) the more difficult the mini game for breaking the bank, but the more reward!
