According to a PM I received from TAG, they're working on hiring some senior developer guy but in the meantime they're releasing a anniversary update for CJS 1.
Already gave up this project (CJS2) long time ago. I think it was too ambitious and died before it was born. This is the "Duke Nukem Forever" of ios gaming...
I sent them a tweet a while ago and the reply I got was something like "hmmm, it's a titanic project and will be ready when it's ready". We'll never see this IMO.
I'm still hopeful they will push this one through to the finish line, though I do have the feeling it has stalled out. Sigh.
As I said more than one year ago (7 posts before this one... 7 in more than a year... ), this is like Duke Nukem Forever. A real pity, because I loved the cell-shaded graphics in the video I saw...
It lives... just! http://www.gamezebo.com/news/2014/05/14/car-jack-streets-2-not-dead-yet More info in the article as to why this is taking so long. We are considering crowdfunding to help speed up development. Is there still love for this out there? Is there room for a comic book GTA style openworld lite MMO on iOS? Welcome your thoughts as ever. Paul
YES!!!!!!!! A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!!! Glad this didn't turn out to be vapourware - it looks wonderful. Is the whole game now intended to be based on an F2P structure, or only certain aspects of it (eg. extra weapons etc.)?
OMG IT LIIIIIIIIVES!!!!!!!!!! So since it's an MMO style game I asked before during the livestream in 2012 "How will the multiplayer work?" Y'all said that it would be something like Facebook where you invite someone then an AI of the player helps you on a mission But now it's MMO style, so will we actually see players running around in real time? Or is my question a little too much for the current status of what y'all know?
not really thrilled by the MMO part, but YEAH, there's still love for car jack street 2, guys ! I thought it was cancelled, this is really good news !
