CAR JACK STREETS 2 - OFFICIAL DEVELOPMENT THREAD by TAGPLAY As many of you will know, we are currently working on the sequel to our hugely successful Car Jack Streets title (the original CJS thread is the 8th most discussed thread on this board ever, for example)! However, to our slight embarrassment, we announced as far back as 2009 that we were working on a sequel and that we were hoping for a 2010 release. We want to apologise that it is now late 2011 and you have still not had the awesome of CJS2 in your hands . Unfortunately, the technical limitations of platforms in 2009 meant we were forced to push that date back - those platforms just could not support our grand ideas!,... but,... now,... THEY CAN! So I am over the moon to let everyone know that: 1. we are now dedicating serious resources to working on Car Jack Streets 2! 2. we have a Q1 2012 launch date set and, 3. that I will now be able to start answering your questions! Are there planes? Also can you customize your guy in the single player with new clothes? This game looks amazing!
Yep it's a mousemat, we all try to be supportive of other casual-gaming developers at Tag . I have a concept picture incoming which will answer at least your first question . Bare with me on the questions relating to core-gameplay though, I will need to run those questions by the Lead Designer on the CJS2 project !
Couuullllllddddd be . Is that something you would like? Obviously there are different levels of multiplayer interaction.... how would you envisage you could play CJS2 in multiplayer?
any further details on how you can affect the "game-world" and the story and how will the price system works ( as it says free on the last point , iAP for ingame stuff or demo and buy full version, or completely different )
Is this game going state wide basically? It looks like with the city, forest, desert and docks the overall map size could be a little bit smaller than San Andreas.
Well, I personally would like a single player (of course ) and maybe a co-op mode where you could play together with friends maybe over Local wi-fi and Bluetooth... Just a thought
That is a good idea, I will be sure to relay that on to the designers. All I can say right now is that they game will be skewed towards socially-interactive gameplay and that this will place weight on players working together . As far as the size of the map is concerned; honestly, we can make it as big as we want to, our artists are making the geography assets at the moment which we can put together later and which will allow us to quickly build whole new regions for updates and the like. I think everyone will be quite happy with the size of the initial map we have planned though . Those of you who played CJS will know we get the maps right!
Wow, well this looks awesome. I hope every vehicle will be hijackable, and the game-world is open and free to explore.
