woof, I agree with the control comments, Also any chance to make enemy bullets more bold and stand out ??? With some love I could really dive into this I think
New controls are a very good change... MFI controller support would add another star ;-) The game is made for a real controller,.,
I’ll make the enemy bullets a bit larger. Actually I always thought the game might be to easy. BTW: the game is available for Mac too: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=297732
I'm not going to say what I think about the difficulty till I can actually control it. From what I can tell it doesn't seem to bad
Easy? Right now I barely last 15 seconds. Please don't make the bullets bigger until the controls are addressed. Once we have the controls then we can see if it's too easy. I wouldn't want it to be too easy. They are saying they want the bullets brighter and easier to make out because they blend into the background too easily. Billy
I MEAN have them stand out more, flashier, it's a fast style game so I feel like it should be really easy to see enemy bullets, right now it's super hard to enemie bullets I can only imagine at later levels
Ive made them larger without changing the size of the collider. This makes it easier to see them without making it more difficult to evade.
When do you think we might get the controls update? I'm dying to really play this game!!! You really don't know how much I've wanted someone to make a game like this. That's why I pretty much just bought it after I saw the video. Billy
I want to optimize performance for low-end devices like iPad 2 first. Originally I thought I would upload it tomorrow but I’ve just learned that they found an unexploded WWII bomb in my street just 200 meters from here. The bomb will be (hopefully) defused within the next day. It is highly possible that I will be evacuated. (on the map my position is just 10 meters outside of the evacuation zone). So it possibly takes a day longer till I can finish it. … well, unless it ends bad and I have to clean up the bits of broken glass first.
Yes, and indeed it has cost me sleep and somehow the entire day was lost at the end. But I will upload soon, I still have some weird unexpected problems to solve because I will support MFi controllers on iOS with this update too.
I really like this game. The gameplay is very oldschool like the ones I played as a kid on the C-64. It also helps that this game has good production values and is really polished. You can tell the dev is passionate about his work.
Update 1.1 (iOS) is waiting for review. I hope it will be online on the weekend. Improved controls: added on-screen joystick and buttons. Support for MFi Game Controllers. Increased size of enemy bullets. Fixed a bug with incorrect scores for k/d ratio on Game Center. Reduced memory usage and improved performance on older devices. Support for iOS 8.3 and higher. New icon.
Updates! Awesomeness! With the new updates and compatibility, I can finally purchase and give this badboy a try!
I will update tvOS and macOS versions next week too. tvOS still has the Game Center bug (which is reporting lower k/d-ratios). The game controllers of both versions will get same directional control (instead of RC-like controls). Siri remote control will not be changed yet Ive made a lot of testing till Ive thought that the RC-like gyroscope control works best for me. But if someone shows/explains me a better solution (including button layout) then I might consider to change that too Great Which iOS version and device are you using? Ive tested it on iPhone 4S and iPad 3.
