Hurray! Felt good to give something back på TA since this site is the main reason I started getting traffic in the first place
Hopefully that in turn also shows a spike in sales. If I'm not mistaken, you may be the only developer who hasn't had Eli read out their ad. Again, you're putting 110% of your heart into this game and again...big fan. Big, big fan.
I think I died. *hugs Bob until it's almost uncomfortable and then buys him a lifetime supply of Trooper beer* HOW COOL IS THAT!?
I like that game. A lot. Bouldersdash comes to mind and more. Looks fantastic too. It nails the old screen style perfectly. Thanks for that mr developer. I might not qualify for a free ice cream as I just bought the game, but as I bought the last copy available can't you make an exception? What flavour do you offer? If you do a sequel, will it happen in Texas? (Earth cowboy?) Something looking like gunfright would be rather lovely indeed
Thanks! I actually did put it up on my secret soundcloud page, but beware of my other strange synthpop with my sweet swedish raw voice around it https://m.soundcloud.com/maskinpop
Well my pleasure! Only flavour in Vislanda is coffee! With whiskey. Give or take the coffee. And the ice-cream.
This is awesome, Bob. I'm not a big fan of synthpop, but I've been paying more and more attention to the soundtracks of the games I play and this one is really nice. Do you you have plans to put it on iTunes? That would allow me to integrate it in to my music app. Having to switch over to soundcloud for one track is surely going to result in fewer plays for me. By the way, fellow fans if you're looking to drop some more coin in Bob's pocketsis, he has a few things available in the iTunes music store. Including what looks like a soundtrack for an upcoming game. Just search for "maskinpop". Thanks, Bob.
Oh, is that on iTunes? . Damn. It's just a demotape for my Synthpop project, made it to look like an old gamecover for kicks a few (2) years back If you want to throw your money at something music-worth on iTunes it's the latest Dubmood album "Force de Frappe" , where I have done their cover and is do vocals on one of the songs. It's music from and inspired by the setting in Hotline Miami 2. I HAD no plan to put the Captain Cowboy music on iTunes however but well, why not? . I can fill an EP with a few different versions of it as well as the music changed around quite much during the development Right now I'm putting together a little desktop demo version of Captain Cowboy to be played with joystick at a little game exhibition in Gothenburg next week (starting tomorrow) . If anyone should be in Gothenburg, Sweden and want to collect some ice-cream I'll be in my booth from 17.00 ( localtime ) . And by booth I mean Container. http://electrodome.productions/
My personal favourite Att Bygga En Robot. But having an EP album with multiple versions of the Captain Cowboy theme is something I'm definitely looking forward to Good luck with your exhibition preparations!
That's the one I was referring to as a soundtrack to an upcoming game, I saw the announcement for the game on your website along with "Blenda". "Force de Frappe" also comes up if you search for "maskinpop". Thanks Bob, this is awesome. Can't wait to check it out. You'll post here when you release it? I hope so.
Well, i call it SnorkView in my class What it really is, is placing a small multiplied grid on top of the screen that seperates colors in strict RGB stripes. Then put in a cascading order. This is not perfectly aligned with the actual pixelresolution, and also much higher, so that every single low-res pixel will be constructed out of small stripes of How much Red it contains, Green and Blue. (Then blurred a bit, and then I lead the contrast bleed a bit for a nice glow) This simulates an old CRT screen with contains three different electric beams for RG&B , but to avoid total havoc they get filtered through a SHADOWMASK. Which is depending on manufactor and style of tv/monitor a plate with small holes in some kind of grid. Since these beams hit the holes in different angles it results in small small dots or stripes of RGB which differs abit depending on where on the screen you look. So I think, what you're looking for in terms of effect, is the "Shadowmask". Mine is a quite lazy way of doing it without totally wasting your dear iPhone battery
Great game I really haven't found any iOS games I enjoy playing lately, but yours has really sucked me in! My wife is getting annoyed with how much time I spend playing it on the couch. One-handed portrait style is the way to go..
What are you doing playing iPhone games? You're supposed to be working on Lowlander 2. LOL. Lowlander was an awesome one-handed portrait style game as well.
