Nice review on Macworld today as part of the column "You Should Play This". http://www.macworld.com/article/2944966/you-should-play-meet-capitals-your-new-favorite-word-game.html Unfortunately, the review is based on the original version of the game, so the section discussing monetization is not accurate. Speaking of which, developers, is the current pricing structure doing better for you? I hope so, my family is still loving the in-house competition.
I like the canned text messages almost as much as I like the fact that people aren't sending me many Fun in small doses. (Apologies to anyone who saw my turns get sloooow last week. I was somewhere without Internet much of the time. No, not a raft at sea.)
Got back into this recently and having a blast. Mostly playing a Game Center friend and a personal friend of mine. It's so fun playing people that are on an equal skill level as you. Send me some game invites, friends!
I've had some long ones but not 111. Does anyone else have problems with Game Center frequently requiring 2-factor authentication upon launching this app? I can't tell if it's game-specific, or if it's just that I've been launching this more often than other GC games.
opponents I've been playing this for months and enjoying it -- I recently went camping to a place with no internet for a couple weeks and lost all the games i'd been in the middle of. What bothers me is that a couple of the people I've been playing with for months and we have a lot of games and a stiff competition. But they were random match people. Tho I can see our VS Stats, I can't click anything to start a new game with them. Any ideas? Or are those people gone for me for ever?
Another option: load Game Center app. In there it keeps a history of recent games played. It's under the FRIENDS then 'Recent' tab.
I just started a new game and found that it was you. (I have a different username there, with a black oak leaf.)
I don't think so... I play daily with a few people, I haven't tried to start a new game with a new opponent in a while though, since I'm mostly just playing the same few people over and over.
I'd like to get back into it and give it another shot. It seemed "back in the day" like close, fun, challenges were rare: one player always seemed to steamroll.
