Love that the match making has improved to match you with someone on your skill level, and I just trounced someone in round two
Noticed better players now. Was 44-5, just lost my last two to some good players. Loving this game so far
'Lives' doesn't seem to be the right term here, because I lose a Life even if I win the game. Perhaps it should be changed to 'Tokens' or 'Plays' or 'Quarters'?
Weird thing I've got. The person I played in my first ever game (I think) is now sitting in my "Friends who play" section. They aren't my friend and I don't know them. How can I get them out of my list?
I still think 7 days is way too long? I'm still waiting for my first batch of opponents to auto-forfeit, they've only played a turn or two and I'm fairly certain they've deleted the game already. Also does forfeiting still not count as a loss? I've had numerous occasions where people just rage quit after being backed into a corner and I don't think that's fair. I like the matchmaking addition though, give me some 95%+ players!
Cool, I see my name in your list Elo ratings is a classic and elegant way of ranking players in chess, card games, even board games like Ticket to Ride. The only problem I've seen is that sometimes high ranked players get too weary of playing against a very lower ranked opponent because they have way more points to lose than to gain. You could also add tournaments for higher ranked players with faster deadlines per turn. But it could be disorienting for newbies. Finished my longest game yet on round 31 against a very tenacious player who likes monkeys but will remain unnamed my GC : vic sark
Yeah, we're worried about seeing the rank of your opponent causing forfeiting too. So until we figure out if / how we want to address that you'll only be able to see your own ranking (which you can still brag about).

Caved and bought the infinite lives - totally worth it! One question though: why can you not always rematch a player that you found randomly? Also I have multiple players added to my "recent played friends" list and theyre not my friends... Not sure why. Other than that I absolutely love the game. One idea I had is maybe you could add a single player mini campaign of sorts? Would be neat. Just an idea. Awesome game!
If you mean why don't you always see the rematch option on the game over popup, it is because the option to rematch is only shown to the winner to avoid two rematches being started at once by both players. It was a real problem! Not sure about the non friends listed under friends, I'll have to look into it as someone mentioned it a a few posts up as well.

What happened here? All hex areas were taken and I played a word but some of the spaces in the centre have opened up. That's never happened before.
LOL, the exact same thing just happened to me as well. But I'm not aware of any new update. Strange, isn't it?
