Holy holy holy holy holy 60 fps. This crap is so friggin smoooooooth. So smoooooth. Instabuy for 4th gens.
Definitely, definitely better. I'm still feeling that it isn't quite as smooth as it was before the 1.4 update, but that's probably just rose-colored glasses. I'm certainly more than happy with the way it's running now and put in a couple of fairly long play sessions. Will definitely have to go back and update my review. Man... it's so nice to have this game back. Will have to put out some effort and practice up enough to get back on the high score tables. Finally can fully recommend this game again. As others on this thread have noted, it's by far my favorite "runner" game. Thanks for finally pulling through Semi-secret!
I completely agree. Can't decide if I'm just imagining that it was slightly smoother before; either way, it plays and looks much better on my 3Gs. Rock on.
I brought this when it was $2.99 and still pick up and play it at least once a week. I love the black and white pixel style and feel everyone who loves runners should try this. Matter of fact , I will make a black and white runner myself and included it in an update to the retrogamebox. I feel inspired!!!
Anyone else having issues with the audio after updating to iOS 5? Hopefully an update/fix is on the way.
Are you referring to the sound effects? I'm asking because I can hear the music fine, but all the sound effects are gone
Yay, I hope they take the chance to update the graphics bug with the disappearing smoke clouds in the background as well. That's really annoying since the game was pretty perfect otherwise (still THE iOS icon for me). And the devs knew about it but were a bit lazy regarding an update. So, I'm hoping now.
Because it's still a brilliant game and not every dev goes the sellout route. Kudos to Semisecret for staying strong.
Canabalt update is out fixing an iOS 5 sound bug and adding some localization. BUT they still didn't fix the graphical bug regarding the disappearing columns of smoke in the background, although Eric promised via email. That's downright lazy and I'm quite disappointed right now.
C'mon! At least they got up off of the couch in their parents' garage long enough to fix the sound bug... AGAIN. Getting these guys to fix their own bugs feels a bit like trying to get my kid to put out the trash every Monday; a constant battle. Based on their haphazard support of the game, I wouldn't be surprised if the unchanging price has more to do with apathy than "staying strong."
Genius narrative, giant robots and flying war machines in the background. Explosive audio. Brilliant and unique gameplay.
Yep, this game is one of the better endless runners IMO. Even though it's so damn simple, it's also addicting >.>
Should I get this? Don't give me that you can get 3 99c games for that I just want to know if this is a good game
