Universal Canabalt (by Semi Secret Software)

I'm not sure if the frame rate issues were ever there for 2G/3G models. I know it was confirmed for 3GS ever since the iOS4 update.

And yeah, it chugs to the point of unplayability. Still hoping they actually will fix it, but it's been a good long while, and they've already put one update out that did nothing about the problem.

 

Yeah, some pretty poor customer service from Semi Secret.

 

I haven't experienced any lag or framerate issues on my iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G or my iPad o.o

Well well, that right there proves that anything is possible.

With that in mind, maybe we'll finally get the frame rate fix they've been promising for 6 months.

To those considering buying this, read back through the last several pages of this thread so you will be informed that this game does have issues for some users.

Not saying to not buy, just be aware that the game does not work properly for some users and the developer has not issued a fix yet.

And yup, coming up on 1/2 a year.

They promised it would be fixed right after Gravity Hook came out, and an update did come out... that didn't fix anything.

Then they promised a fix after Steambirds was released... still waiting on that one.

Normally I wouldn't care so much, but Canabalt was one of my favorite games. I really miss playing it.

 

Saltsman probably despises children...

I recently emailed Semi Secret to ask about any future updates. I did get a response from them that an update will indeed be out soon for Canabalt which will add GameCenter achievements, and possibly bug fixes. Although nothing specific was said besides the achievements. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

 

This game SO need gamecenter and achievements, cant believe that is hasnt already. Got it during the sale but thought it already is GC enabled!
