After the game has gone universal I'm finally prepared to buy it, unfortunately from what I read here the game has framerate problems on 3GS. So far are all iPad users enjoying the game like it should?
Another thing I noticed today - the latest version breaks the ability to change the volume of the music and sound effects. No matter what I set the sound levels to under Settings, as soon as I go into the game they reset to full volume. Check Settings again and sure enough they're back to 100%...
Would be nice for the developers to come here and let us know this, they used to post here back when they were still trying to promote the game. Lots of us paying customers would like to have some specifics to why the problem and when the problem will be corrected. Say what you want about MiniGore and their developers but they responded immediately when scores got wiped after an update, even though they were not sure how to fix, they took the hit and promised a fix. The silence here, except your post telling us they are aware of an issue, is rather deafening. Does not take more than a few minutes to jump on here and let us know there is a fix on the way, a little thing called customer service, even if the game is no longer a high priority, the customers should be.

Hey, my point was the developers used to post here regularly and now that the game has lower sales and been out of notice by a lot of people, they do not come here to update us. Would be nice as this site heavily promoted the app and the staff here actively defended the developers stance on price.
Agreed. Since hearing that the devs were looking into the issue about a month back, no causes, no updates, no "we're working on it"s, nothing. I'm honestly pretty disappointed as this was formerly one of my favorite iPhone games, and I find it just unplayable on the 3GS after the update. Too bad. I'm still holding out hope that the issue is being worked on, but saying as it seems to only affect 3GS users, I fear... maybe not.
I noticed this too, and it's damn annoying!!! I hate loud music in games when it obscures the sound effects, especially here, when you need to hear the sound of the incoming bomb. I can't play this game any more like this, and I've changed my rating in the App Store accordingly. If and when they ever fix this, and the other problems, then I'll update my review.
Ah, I wasn't aware it was Touch 3G too. Annoying though. I've pretty much moved over to Robot Unicorn Attack to get my "Canabalt-ish" fix these days. In Canabalt the frame rate is just atrocious once the game starts to speed up. With their recent announcement of Gravity Hook HD releasing on the 29th, we might be waiting until after that before we hear any news of a Canabalt update. At least I really hope we get an update soon.
Well, iPhone 3GS = iPod 3G, so it's "normal"... Yep. I'll buy Gravity Hook HD for sure, it looks very nice to me, but I could wait Canabalt's fix.
I was just about to go and buy this game after prolonging it for however long since it was released but after reading the last page of posts I have decided against it (I have a 3GS). Anyway I will still ask does it allow you to play iPod music while you are playing or can you only listen to game music?
Personally, I think your iPod music would ruin the gameplay experience. The in-game music suits the game perfectly. If you want a Canabalt alternative, Robot Unicorn Attack is fun, so is Solipskier but I think you have that one..Or you can wait for Monster Dash which I heard is like Canabalt but with guns.
Since the other games are better, get those. I personally love this game, it's one of the few games that I don't see myself deleting from my iPod. There are other games like this one, but this, in my opinion, is the best one.
