i am amazed actually how fast this game drains accu on my 3gs, from such game one could expect it has the same power consumption as Run or other simple games.
This is my best pick up and play game when I needed that instant rush of gaming! When I first played this I am so impressed that I became a believer that some indie dev do have what it takes to innovate and give us something fresh and exiting. And that is why it pisses me off that some other dev feels lazy and is trying to make a quick buck off of this and take away sales that is supposedly earned by cannabalts dev team Support the dev of the original and stay away from the rip off
Am not gonna pay a dime for this overpriced game.Mirror's edge is gonna be out in a couple of months...gonna enjoy that instead!
I been playing this for a week, got a highscore of about 6,000, then i give my sister ago today and in her 3rd go she gets to somewhere around 11,000 .
is there hidden sense in submitting every score to the server? not everyone with iphone on this f planet has unlimited data plan.
Strange how you have so little respect for a game with this much quality that you would say it isn't worth chump change. You know what, you're not even worth 5 bucks.
It is wrong to say that it isn't worth anything, but I think it's not really worth $3. I mean, there are TONS of polished and high-quality games thats cost $1 or $2, and Canabalt is.. a really simple game. I don't see why it's $3. I'm going to wait for a sale to pick it up.
I keep looking at these posts that criticize and they always end with "and then I'll pick it up" or "until then, I won't pick it up". Sometimes I wish the flash version didn't exist. It is nothing compared to this version. It feels so zoomed in compared to this...I can barely pass 3000 in the flash but I've reached over 10,000 on the app version. It quite honestly gives people the wrong idea.
True, but sometimes to get a better understanding of the core concept one would have to play a greatly improved version of it, and in turn they may begin to realize it's greatness. Oh yeah, and to the user who posted before my last comment, Canabalt is never going on sale. And I respect the dev even more for that.
I have played this game more than I've played some $60 XBOX 360 games. That said, I hope we can continue this debate through all of 2010, one month down, 11 more to go! I know you guys can do it!
Heh, well you know, I have read some of the older pages and saw that they went nowhere. I just like to start a debate so as to keep Canabalt bumped. Because, really, our arguments don't ever lead anywhere except to where it started. The topic does get quite a few posts in the process though. Plus I haven't had my turn fanboying Canabalt yet.
If you would have told me when I was standing in line for the iPhone 3G at 2 AM with some fellow iPhone fanatics, mere moments after the App Store launched and I bought a few different $10 games (including a $10 solitaire game) that in the not too distant future most games would have their prices driven down to 99¢ and people would spend months arguing the worth of sub-$5 purchases...
I love this game! I don't get it why a lot of people keeps on complaining about the price cuz I bought about 100 99cc apps that didn't last a day in my iphone while this one will never get deleted.
