Awesome update with the leaderboards. Only saw the new rocket crash obstacle once but have come across the new billboards many times now. Very cool and will be fun trying to get on the leaderboards now...
cool to hear its working for you guys, and it has new obstacles is it just rocket crash and billboards? or more? not that it matters. im on the UK store and the update is downloading, but not applying, have tried many times, but the app still is 1.1

Currently the only 3.1 feature that we use is a timer thing that help sync up the framerate and the touch input events. If we can get the game optimized well enough to the point that we can remove that feature and still have really reliable touches, we'll do it in a heartbeat
Thanks for the response I'm already on 3.1.1, but my gf is not. I would update her iPod, but I've never been able to on my computer for some reason. I think this game is perfect for her, she loves addicting pick up and play titles like these.
It's an ok update. Not bad. Not sure if this was in the initial release but it looks a like that big ship from District 9 is in the background That is cool.
i didn't say that at all. quite the contrary, i feel like there could be a canabalt classic mode as well as levels that introduce new ideas and obstacles to the simplistic gameplay style.
Apparently there's a bug on the appstore which Apple are working on. I was told this by the dev of Movie Genie because it wouldn't update to the new version. He said keep trying and do it through itunes whilst waiting for the bug to be ironed out. I got it to work on the 6th try. So it seems this is affecting other apps too. Heard that one before and been caught out. Mecho Wars rings a bell. Anyway I will get this soon , I can't resist much longer.
I deleted my app and reinstalled it. It works that way. Got 9,000+ and 17th Worldwide It said now playing "Run," will there be more tracks in updates? It would be cool if we could jump over aliens That big District 9 looking ship is awesome. I take back what I said about the price, it's worth it lol. EDIT: Holy crap! A big ship slammed down on me. That was weird and cool at the same time..
There are two songs in this version (thus the larger download size) - if you tap the song name it will switch over to the other one
I agree. Keep the original game as is, and make other levels with new obstacles, music....etc.........and let each level have it's own leaderboard
there should always be "classic" mode along with "updated to the max" mode... some people would love to play the game as it was when they bought it without all those "new and awesome features" while the others would prefer to play new mode (like it is in Doodle Jump and like it should be in Minigore and Canabalt)
Fair enough but I can live with the new features. Once you start adding in modes and different levels it sort of robs the game of that stripped down minimalistic feeling. The main things I have a problem with are the pause button in the corner and the sending tab that pops up everytime I die. I would like for the pause button to disappear and just be able to touch that corner instead.
Ive been playing the online version for over a month and love it. I was waiting for this update to buy it but now that there is no classic mode I think I will have to put off buying it until that happens.
