As mentioned on the first page or two there is exposed functionality in 3.1 that allows the game's engine to run as fast as it does.

...I never even thought to look there. Good on ya' for finding it!

EDIT: I am so much better at this with the music off. With the music on I almost never heard the sound cue for the bomb dropping.

This is a very good post, and I think is a viable strategy. I think going the other wouldn't work as well... ;)

    Micro review

I've been playing the web based flash version and plan to buy the iPhone version after I upgrade to firmware 3.1.

There's something to be said about doing something single-mindedly doing it damn well. Incredible.

Alright I caved and bought it. At the moment I feel it's only worth about $1.99, so I bought it with strong hopes for some cool updates... don't let me down! A couple more additions and it'll be well worth the extra buck.

Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions, but these two posts make more valid points than anyone who has argued about the price being too high.

The only valid reason for not wanting to buy this game at the current price is stated in the following post by Midian:

Although others may find themselves in a similar situation, I highly doubt that that is the case for most people who refuse to pay $2.99.

Is it just me or is intentionally hitting boxes when approaching high speeds a valid strategy? I started doing this and broke 5k for the first time. I just can't react quick enough when he really gets going!

...alright, someone post their best score.

    2489m here.

Yeah that's what I started doing. Seems kinda odd, but... if you go too slow you won't make some of the jumps, which is what killed me.

Yeah, I only slow myself down when I'm reaching the limits of my cat-like reflexes.

Hey Midian, how did you post that screenshot?

I tried to post one earlier but it didn't work. I took a screenshot with my phone (clicked power & home buttons) and emailed it to myself. I opened the email and the screenshot showed up as a little blue question mark box.

    Did I do something wrong?

That should have worked anyway, but... (if you're on a PC) connect it to your PC with the USB cable and it'll appear in My Computer, open it and all your screenshots are there. Something similar with macs no doubt.

I actually tried to do it all straight from my phone. Maybe that's why it didn't work.

Have you ever done it directly from your device?

Y'all are way behind us two!
I tried getting the High Score ball rollin' a lot earlier but people were still arguing about the price.\

Edit: In response to someone who posted earlier about hitting boxes, that's my strategy when I begin running to quickly. I find that by slowing myself down I can make more accurate movements and avoid things falling from the sky that turn my character into a fine mist.....

More Gameplay for $3 ? What does that even mean ? Gameplay is completely subjective. If you like the game and are happy with it, then it's worth it to you. It's just random to say that it does not have $3 of gameplay. This sentence means nothing to anyone but you............................:) .............just saying !

Like its already been said a million times here already go play the free flash version, theres even a link in here for you, its the same thing as the iphone version, gameplay consists of one thing only, tap to jump. Thats the only ability you will control (or acquire) in the game. To say thats shallow isn't subjective.

Many Like "shallow" as you call it......simple pick up and play games and just because a game is complicated does not mean you will play it more or that it has more "gameplay"......................
