I'm not sure a poll is necessary.. I'm pretty sure everyone seems to be in favor of having it's separate thread/forum. I haven't seen one person indicate they'd rather keep it in the gaming forum unless I missed it.
Why stop separating threads there? Push these idiotic thread archetypes straight out as well: I HAVE TEH 99 CENTS! ROLANDO VS WOLF3D!??!!?! Favorite dart throwing app (5th reposts lolz! darts rules)??? Will my iDevice ever be as good as a dedicated portable console? Well Nintendo ever port Zelda or Pokemon? (POLL INSIDE!!) lol If arn decides to segregate retards, crickets will chirp for the 5 remaining people in the games section.
+1 for having a separate forum for all moronic posts(MMOs, what should I get, etc) and for having only a couple of us non-idiots left in the normal forums, at least every post wouldn't be spam
The statement below is so true & funny at the same time : Exactly, I believe this statement represents the majority here at T.A.
another vote for a separate spam section . . . doesn't playmesh have their own site where people can exchange 'friend' codes?
yes we need a separate section for this. Sign this petition (post this if you want a seperate section) : Hello, I'm (put your name here) and I want a separate section for MMO's codes.
Yes please. I'm tired of CandyCane posting some sort of "OMG ANOTHER POLISHED APP WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO SPAM YOUR FRIEND CODE TO ADVANCE IN THE TEXT BASED MMO GAME!"
+3... I endorse this post. --------------------------------- Yeah I'd love for this to be a section. Takes away a lot of clutter.
I would think a much better solution to MMO code spam is to just use social groups. Really though, I don't know how much a special codes section would help. Most of the people who come to TA to spam their codes register, crap their codes all over every thread that seems relevant, and never return. I couldn't even estimate how many people I've seen who register with names like "ADD ME VAMPS" or "102-3857-28475" whose only posts are "YO ADD ME HEREZ MY CODE." These kind of people aren't going to read any FAQ, rules, or do anything more than click the first forum they find and start going hog wild with code posting. Probably the easiest/most effective thing to do is just merge all the code threads in to one hell hole of a code spam thread, then just either stick that thread or just continually merge new posts/threads in to it as people register to spam their codes. Perfect example of this- http://forums.toucharcade.com/member.php?u=10842 This guy just registered, spammed his code bumping three threads, and I bet he'll never be back.
That would not work. There must be 10+ MMOs that don't use the same code.. Don't read those threads though.
Doesn't matter, if everyone follows a standard format for posting their code like this- You could do a search for "IVAMPIRECODENUMBER", display results by post, blammo.
