Popcap statement I found the following Popcap statement: ---------------------- "Ahead of the release of new casual games IP Plants vs. Zombies on May 5th, publisher PopCap has told CasualGaming.biz that the game could be set for an arrival on both the iPhone and console networks such as Xbox Live Arcade, PSN and WiiWare. We at PopCap are of the opinion that that everyone is a potential player of casual games, a spokesperson explained. We make games that appeal to everyone and anyone commuters, office workers, families - as well as hardcore gamers. To reach these diverse audiences, our overriding mission at PopCap has to be to have our games in as many different places, and on as many platforms, as possible to make them accessible to this audience of everyone. That said, we dont have any confirmed plans to bring the game to iPhone or any other platforms at present but will certainly keep you up to speed if that changes. --------------------------------- Hopefully they will port the game soon. I had a lot of fun with the trial version.
THERE'S HOPE!!! PLEASE POPCAP. I beat the game on my computer yet I would easily buy this for my iPod Touch too!
Obviously the game is brand new and they want to squeeze out all the PC sales they can before releasing to other platforms. If they ported this to iPhone the same time as the PC release I would not have purchased the PC version. Now I will end up buying both. It's good business.
Source? A gaming site called casualgaming.biz: http://www.casualgaming.biz/news/28502/Plants-vs-Zombies-could-be-coming-to-iPhone-and-consoles I'm not sure, if this is a reliable source, but they seem to run a professional gaming site.
I would LOVE to have Plants vs Zombies on my iPod. I just bought Peggle, Peggle Nights, Plants vs Zombies, and Bejeweled 2 and I would buy them all again for my iPod!!! Why are Popcap games so addicting? I thought that Peggle was like the most addictive drug in the world but then I played Peggle Nights . Maybe that's why they made the sequel... play Peggle all day and Peggle Nights all night. EDIT: However, I would NOT pay $19.95 again. Maybe $9.99. It was totally worth it but I don't think it's worth it to spend $40.00 to have it on two platforms.
