You absolutely can. I have my Main Account (Booch138), an account for dicking around on (Mainly used to to learn how to fly copters in BFBC2 without getting yelled at on my main account lol) and 4 other accounts that me and friends share games over.

But to your specifics in your post, what exactly do you mean? Did my post help you?

Yeah, it did help a little. What i mean is: i have a friend come over and we decide to play combat training or a private match in splitscreen mode (does private match have splitscreen mode?). Since i dont want him to lose all progress He made when i turn off the console, i want to create a spare account so he can use it whenever he comes over, without him starting over in terms of unlocks and stuff. So, is that possible? Like i go into combat training under my account, he uses that spare account to go combat training with me and we both go into a match on ONE console?

While I havn't tried this on the PS3 before, I am fairly positive that this is possible. As long as you are able to select another account on the PS3 with combat training or regular online play, then he should be able to retain all of his data when he comes back to it. I play it on the 360 so I can't say for sure, but yeah. This should be fine.

Ok, but for the 360, does everything i mentioned work? Two users in different accounts getting into a match on the same console?

Yes. I had a friend bring over his account on a flash drive and we were able to play and he retained all of his data. Should work the same on the PS3 (especially since you are making the account on the same console).
