Hi everyone, i dont know if this thread fit in this forum section. but does anyone know any good Zoom Camera apps? or any video zoom apps? i have tried a few such as camera plus , zoom photo, and camzoom. but the zoom capabilities at max, lots of my pictures get blurry. if anyone could advice a good zoom capable camera apps. i appreciate your help. thank you .
Such is the nature of digital zoom: It's just a simulation of zoom. They all do the same thing: Take one size of photo and enlarge it the same way you would in Photoshop or some other art program. The more you zoom the blurrier it gets because it's not an optical zoom. This is the same thing that digital cameras do with their optical zoom: You simply can't get a good looking digitally zoomed image because the system doing the "zooming" has no additional information in the image to be able to tell what something is supposed to look like close up, so all it can do is enlarge and use smoothing filters (essentially, a particular type of blur algorithm) to simulate a zoomed image. Even if Apple supports it in hardware, it still won't look much better if at all; the algorithm used might be a bit more elegant, but it's still only simulating zoom.
