Its only going to be in the apple stores tommorow right? Or is it going to be in the other stores like BestBuy and Wal-Mart etc? Also what are some good cases for it? Or companies that have put out good cases in the past? Im looking for something that is protective but is still really nice, hardcase would probably be the best bet for this ipod seeing as though they are so small and I assume a hardshell case will only make holding the device more comfortable.
wow, that review sure makes me think jobs just told china to make something they would throw together and sell for a 100.00 and add 200.00 for the apple tax. laughs. i guess the iphone will always be the best hardware wise.. to bad i have no need for a cell. well im sorta glad i did not pre order one now. but will wait for a hands on review from someone on here. before i totally make up my mind about getting one. even they think its to thin.. why did jobs try to make it so thin. even teens these days have big hands. chris. p.s ok so why did jobs make this thing so skinny? since i have a feeling this will be the first complaint we hear the most.. or maybe i just like to complain and will be limited to us tall guys with big hands.. ( kinda doubt it will just be me.. anyhow) maybe jobs decided to do this so he could make the thing larger next year and allow for a better camera.. he could say.. you guys wanted it thicker so i did.. all kiss my feet now... laughs. i dunno.. for some reason this would not surprise me one bit if this was steve jobs logic. LOL
I don't blame Apple, of course they want their flagship device to be superior. Besides, 256MB is still more than enough.
http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html tell em what you think who knows maybe you will get steve jobs to answer you and he will bow to your superior intellect! i want to tell him he made the damn thing to skinny for us big hand guys.. but i cant do that till i handle it in the store and verify what im thinking.. who knows maybe it will be fine.. even tho my gen 2 ipod is to skinny and i have to use a case with it.. and even then id like a little more meat! chris.
People... An iPhone equivalent Touch would've cost MUCH more. Add the IPS screen, 256MB more RAM, GPS, better camera etc. and you'd be paying $600 instead of $300 for a 32GB Touch. Would you really want a $600 Touch? I think Apple did a good job at balancing price and features. It's a big upgrade from the 3rd gen Touch, and that is what matters. Sure, it shares the same basic hardware platform, but iPhone is a different product completely, with a very different pricing model (i.e. cell contracts). Judge the Touch against previous Touch models, not iPhone.
Still, if it wasn't for the fact that my speakers don't work and the headphone jack is broken, I would soooo wait for gen 4 1/2.
Everything you just said plus the fact that im still rocking the 1g ipod touch and we all know 1g touch has become the adopted little mexican boy that apple is trying to forget about.
Sure! iPhone 4 - phone - contract + 64 GB = I would pay $600 for this. That $30/month for a data plan adds up quickly! Works for me! Where can I get one for $600? And by that I mean through routes easy enough for me to deal with, including warranty/support/etc, not from some random person on EBAY. I am very tempted to pick one up in Singapore since I'll be going there in a few months (around $700 USD.)
IPS stands for 'In-plane switching'. It allows you to view a screen different angles without distortion, I guess. If you look at the picture below, the iPhone 4 on the left (which has IPS) screen looks normal, but the iPod Touch 4G doesn't look as nice at the same angle.
^ This (see what I did there?) It doesn't matter what apple does, we're still gonna buy their products even if it is unsatisfactory.
Without a contract? So I just sign up for it with the iphone, then after a month cancel the contract? Then it's just like an ipod? Feels like a trap = / Maybe I'll buy an ipad hmmmmm, are ipads getting a hardware upgrade?
