Ah yes Skype, forgot about it. I think it's a bit hard to use for the Ocarina, unless your singing rather than blowing.
Just a question in general. How will FaceTime work? This isn't exactly a phone so using numbers doesn't seem logical, unless you get some kind of code or use email. Does anyone know for sure the process of this all?
The iPod Touch 4G will probably be faster than the iPhone 4, probably because it doesn't have excessive hardware crammed into a small device, but that's probably why the iPhone 4 was bigger. I really don't like the design for the iPod Touch 4g because the 2g wasn't really comfortable, unless we think otherwise. They probably could have added more battery juice and a little extra with the iPhone 4 case, maybe even make it bigger. There could also be a chance that the iPod Touch 4g could break more easily, but I think Apple has taken care of that. I don't think it would be quite "hands friendly" when it comes to playing games that require you to turn your device horizontally, because you wouldn't have much control over it, being that it's thin.
Macworld review: http://www.macworld.com/article/153916/2010/09/4g_ipodtouch_review.html So I think it's safe to say that it will be available tomorrow.
Thanks for the link. I wished they made it thicker and added more battery life and a better camera, the picture taken by the iPhone 4 was considerably sharper. A case might make that sleep button even harder to press Also, in the third picture, I think you can see that the iPhone 4 had better viewing angles, why didn't they do that for the touch?
Yeah I know. Kind of disappointing. - Lower quality screen than iPhone 4 - No GPS - No camera flash - Lower quality pictures - Fixed focus - Video looked lower quality too I suppose it's still good at everything else, but I was expecting it to be a bit better.
Even though the camera is disappointing, I'm still gonna buy it. Gotta have that A4 Processor and Gyroscope for future gaming.
Did people really expect the upgrade to be on par with the iPhone? Once the pricepoint was out I had a feeling the display/other features would be slightly lower. I mean $220 iPod isn't going to compare to $599 for a no contract iPhone. And I can almost guarantee that if they did make the device exactly the same as the iPhone minus cell service and 3g, people would be having heart attacks over pricing. Only reason the average person like myself even considered the iPhone was the lowered price on contract. Of course I see the premium monthly in my bill.
MacRumors confirms iPod Touch will be released tommorow into stores. Also, links to multiple reviews currently available, all positive http://www.macrumors.com/2010/09/07/ipod-nano-and-touch-in-stores-tomorrow-early-reviews/
Then what was the point of pre-ordering if you could just walk in the store tomorrow and pick it up earlier than everyone?
