      I just noticed that the game had been updated; I love how un-useless the ray gun is now.

      It doesn't work on your ipod, only on the computer; also, what use would it be if you could use your ipod for it? You wouldn't be able to chat in-game anyways.

      Did the update fix the raygun.
      Is it same/better/worse than the console version or the pre-update version?

      Yes, the update fixed the ray gun; I haven't played the console version in a while, but I'd say that it's about as effective as it is on the console version.
