Can anyone tell me how much gameplay I'll get out of this if I'm just playing single player? I see there's only one map and I'm worried I'll be done in 20 minutes or something.
Well it is a survival game so you can play as much as you want and last as long as you can The one map is not really an issue considering the loads of weapons & power ups you can gain & use I only got up to like level 12 on single player but it's really awesome They are releasing DLC were you can download other maps for a price So you will get alot of play by yourself even more online which I really suggest it's worth the money in my opinion just wish they added all the maps in the initial release
Interesting, I guess I don't quite grasp games like this as well as I thought I did. I thought the map was like a level, meaning 1 map = 1 level. Now I see that the map is literally the map, meaning where you can move in the game, etc. So now my question is- how big is the map? Big enough so you move around a lot and see a lot of stuff? Or small and you see the same stuff over and over, etc? And how do you play online? Is everyone a human, or are some people zombies? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm just really new at this stuff.
You haven't played or heard about Call of Duty 5's zombie mode? This is an exact recreation of that mode for the iphone.
The map is made up three areas (you are in a bunker somewhere) and these areas can be accessed by accumulating enough points to trade the points in to open up the scenery that is bloocking them (i.e. a door or rubble). The object of the game is to try and survive as many waves of increasing numbers of tougher and tougher zombies. Killing the zombies gives you points. Points can also be spent on weapons and ammo. There are many different tactics in trying to stay alive. Multiplayer seems to have a different spawn rate of the zombies depending on the number of people playing. There are loads of achievements to get as well. In, short the level is big enough to get used to the game and the achievements give you plenty to do in single player (outside of staying alive!!). On top of all that you can submit you stats to callofduty.com and see how you do on global leaderboards.
Map is a decent size You start off in one section of the map then when you get more points you can open different sections expanding the map and gaining accesses to more weapons, there are two floors When you play online you play up to four people you all are human and you all have to survive as long as possible against the zombies
Its amazing how many people haven't noticed this... They all think that it must be like eliminate and when it doesn't work they say the controls are rubbish... and don't look in the help! I thought that they would be like eliminate, but after finding that it didn't work at all when swiping i thought that there must be a reason - a company that makes a game this amazing isn't going to ship it with totally rubbish controls. After reading the help I noticed that it was virtual joystick and not swipe and it works really really well!!! Shame really as it seems to be wasted on most people that want to use the rubbish swipe mechanic. Thie measn you can play without putting you fingers all over the screen!!!
IMO the Accelerometer to look/control stick to move is the best and most intuitive FPS scheme for the iphone today even better than MC:S and Eliminate ! I shit you not once you get use to it you are going to love it!
Agreed. I tried swipe, then dual and finally settled on accelerometer for view. Much better IMO, though I do forget to recal sometimes and end up looking at the ceiling!
Well that was my point from my ealrier post. It isn't a swipe control... try teh default as a thumbstick (just for a laugh..) and see what you think.
That's why I'm using the default controls, the dualstick is actually less responsive IMO. Also the accelerometer sucks when you want to play while lying down.
Touch screen is my choice of play Dualstick is cool accelerometer like he said above is not cool when you wanna lay down & play or are at a different angel
hi guys, could somebody tell me if following would be possible: coz I live in shiiitty Germany where the game is NOT available, I could aks my brother from Switzerland to login into iTunes with my account and download the game for me. Than he could send it via E-Mail and I could drop it into iTunes. Is this possible ??
1. Convert your App Store country on iTunes 2. Sync your device. 3. Download the App through the App Store app using your brother's account. 4. Play Warning: You will have to reauthorize with his ID everytime you sync the iPhone.
I'm hosting a game called Achilles1401. BTW In the first two rounds, let the zombies in the house, so you can get points for barricading the windows. Kill the zombies with the knife, or even gun and knife for more points (they will drop with one knife attack, but you can shoot them a few times first, and you get points for every hit as well as the final knife attack).
