Apologies if this has been posted already (please ignore it then) but i don't feel like or have the time to read every page of this thread to see if it was mentioned more than once.

Damn Raygun, i remember slaughtering waves of zombies with it on the original, but this piece of junk is worthless in this version. An entire clip at round seven did almost no damage. They ****ed up the raygun.

This is ****ing balls! Bought it last night, still can't connect to online, the devs have really ****ed up! I'm really pissed off with this having spent so much on an app that won't connect to wifi for some unknown reason:mad::mad:

I haven't had any problems at all with connecting. Maybe your modem just can't connect, I remember my old modem couldn't connect to any official game servers, Halo 3, Forza 2 Auction House etc.

He must have tried connecting via 3G (not via Wi-Fi), which indeed doesn't work. Unfortunately, jailbreaking one's phone and using 3G Unrestrictor doesn't work either (not even with the isDirect flag) - I've very thoroughly tested this.

Via standard Wi-Fi connections (if the iPhone itself is connected to Wi-Fi), remote lounge works just great, as has also been demoed in my multiplayer demo video:

Before paying for any multiplayer title, make sure you post a question like "can it be played via 3G"? I, the maintainer of the one and only full multiplayer game database, will surely answer questions like this.

No, had no problem with eliminate, modern warfare 2, uncharted 2, halo odst, rainbow 6, team fortress 2 360 and pc. To be honest, the only people who are moanng like me in this thread seem to be in uk or australia, mabe activision just don't like us here in pal territories!

Ok, just saw other replies, I'm not using 3g!!! there is no 3g reception where I live! Or mabe my xbox runs on 3g does it??!?!! Plus I said wifi in the orignal post!

    1. I'm also in PAL territory (Europe).
    2. OK, 99% of these problems are based on the users' not enabling Wi-Fi / trying to connect via 3G (which I also use to refer to EDGE / GPRS; that is, 2.5G or 2.75G); this is why I also thought the case was the same.

All in all, this problem seems to be pretty strange - ask your fellow UK folks whether it works with them.

    found a fix!
sort of.. i got my new router today and i set it all up, and tried nazi zombies on my ipod touch and it worked!
it also gave my ps3 nat type 1 (it used to be nat type 3)

the only difference that i can tell between the two is i am now using PPPoA instead of PPPoE. which is weird because oE is meant to be better than oA

so go into your router settings, change it from PPPoE to PPPoA and it should work
also the other difference was this router supported WPA2 and the old one only supported WPA so i used WPA2.. not sure if that made a difference either but its working now! its great :D

Ok, that blows my theory about pal countries out of the water then:) if u r in Europe, I'm completely stumped then!

I'll just have to go play touchpets instead to satisfy my urge to shoot something:D

I've been practising in single player a bit before hitting up the online. I've played about 8 games now and I think i've perfected my aiming with the tilt controls. I'm now averaging round 8, with about 50-80 headshots! Did you guys know you get bonuses for getting 3, 5 and 10 headshots in a row? Theres a little counter in the top-centre when you're on a streak. And there's some crazy voiceovers when you hit those milestones. And take a look at this screenshot, I got the "Poppin' Heads 3" achievement already - 250 headshots and counting! :D

Ok, time for me to eat a nice big slice of humble pie!!:) yum!!:)
tried a different AP in work and it connected first time. (no comment about playin COD when I should be workin;). So it's basically my Janky BT router that's the problem. Seems to confirm what the guy above from Aus was saying, I'll play with the settings wen I get home and hopefully fix the problem.

Struggling with controls... the aiming moves sluggishly at first then quickly speeds up as you progressively move your finger.

yea thats how i found it at the start, but now im really good with them
i think these controls are much easier to use then modern combat's is. they took a few games to get used to but now i think they are great

Surprisingly, I've become a convert to tilt controls also. There's no doubt that it's easier to get headshots with this control scheme. It pretty quickly became second nature, and I got 3 times as many headshots with this method than with twin stick.

changing from WPA to WPA2 made no difference for me. Still can't connect via wifi, being told my coonection doesn't support multi player. Hate this.

Snap. BT (HomeHub2) router here too and I can't connect unless I go via the openzone AP. Been plating around with the settings but don't seem to be making any progress. Let me know how you get on as I would love to get to the bottom of this.
