post an image from the iPhone game that has either of those weapons - don't even need to see it your hands... get it spinning from the magic box if you like. I am not saying posting your guide wasn't helpful, I am just pointing out that those weapons are not in the iphone game.
hmmm - had a look at the link and all I can see is someone ranting about their bthomehub router (think his tag was DarkStryder360 or something.... ), and a load of other people trying to put some measure of balance into the discussion... 'he' looked well "ignorant". Why don't you either set your router up to port forward to your iphone, and wait for the fix OR go play something else and wait for the fix. Your rant is boring - I don't understand why you feel so personally aggrieved about this? Was that the last £6 you had? Are you now starving and homeless because you spent it on an iphone game? It'll get fixed - get some perspective. Your acting like a little kid. Are you this guy, or a friend or family member of this guy cause it would make a bit more sense : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K-8uwzgb_0 EDIT: Just read this line from you post on cod.. Why do you think that they are ignoring the posts/reviews? They obviously fixed your bug with the lite, then some how broke it when they released their update... I hope so to - you sound like the voice of reason and knowledge and the games industry will be bowing down before you.
I just got this game... it's pretty good, but the controls for me are horrible. They keep moving if you hold it there. I like NOVA's controls a lot better, but ill try tilt controls, hopefully they work better for me.
Now I don't agree with the rant, but neither do I agree with what you're saying. Here's Treyarch's problem: They released COD:WAW:Z. They said "new maps soon." Then 5 months of near silence passed. In the iPhone world, we've become used to developers being 'communicative.' We even pay to be beta testers many times. That's cool too - we're paying such small prices. (Don't get me started on why the prices aren't too low for devs - I'm just talking about how much I actually put down on a single game). We're used to being communicated with. And then Treyarch comes along and releases COD:WAW:Z, and says "new maps: soon." They have a PR person who can talk about it, JD_2020. They have official forums, twitter, everything, but the best JD will do is, a few days before release, he says "in the next few weeks." All this time, these silent months, they were upating the game. Improving performance, fixing bugs, optimizing untoten, adding and optimizing code for verrukt, etc. Everyone was all focused on the map and they didn't even mention that they were also working on these other things. So in the intervening time, right, when they're all quiet - they release a lite. For some reason, a whole bunch of people who have the full version download it. For many of those who never got online, this is like, wow! I spent $10 on the full version and I can only play the 3-round free one online? So they wait...and wait...and all of a sudden, silent but deadly, here comes Verrukt! Hey it must have the same updates as the lite! I'll spend $5! WAIT IT STILL DOESNT WORK!!!!! There's some obvious room for feeling personally affronted in that narrative. Sure they should've tried the updated with untoten first, sure it should be fixed every other ipod game under $15 works, sure etc. etc. point is, treyarch has done an amazing job in some ways, and a poor job in others. Also, for those who can't get online: (1) ITS GREAT you're missing alot (2) even when it works, though, you find people getting disconnected before the 20th frequently anyway. I mean I guess I heard 20 is high for a lot of people? But yeah...It gets annoying to invest 45 minute in a game just to have people disconnect til you're alone. Also, a lot of people just don't understand port forwarding, upnp, or DMZ. And they really shouldn't have to. If it was that simple I'm sure Treyarch would post a nice tutorial on it. Unfortunately it isn't. And this is coming from a software developer. This is one of those situations where you know a little and you think you know a lot but you don't and it gets you in trouble. There are hundreds if not thousands of kinds of routers, with confusing naming schemes, different and important model numbers, etc. etc. There is no "universal guide." Frankly if you got a PC game that had you enable UPNP and it wasn't right on the box you'd probably be livid, but that's beside the point. There's no universal guide, no way of explaining it for all. I mean just look up DMZ on Wiki. You need a network engineering degree to understand it. Yet you just want people to "find it" and "plug in their ipod's IP." That's a little ludicrous. If it's so easy to fix please post a definitive, 100% comprehensive guide to getting your router to work. While you're at it, maintain a definitive list of which ones simply don't work, or which ones work half the time and not the other. We'll post it here and hold you up for surely, you have done a great thing here! That said, if anyone is having trouble, here's my $.02: contact your family computer geek. They might actually be happy to fix this "problem" as they play it with you. Secondly, put your router model along with "enable upnp" or "how to use dmz" in that google box thingy.
I agree, there are no Grenade Launchers or Panzerschrecks in the iPhone, just a processor, some ram, touch sensors, and an accelerometer. LOL.
Why don't we just all assume no until someone comes across one. I mean it'll happen eventually if its there right?
Hahaha you called that guy a "yank" haha I laughed so much. STAND FOR YOUR BELIEVES!!! KEEP IT GOING MAN!! lol
I heard that the lite version multiplayer worked for people (like me) who can't use it in the normal version due to a wrong Internet connection. I tried the multiplayer on lite and it worked perfectly. I am confused as to why that is. Can someone please explain. Also will the normal version multiplayer ever be like the lite? I really hope so as I would love to play it online after experiencing it on the lite version.
Copied from my unsuccessful thread: Okay, while I'm up north the wi fi we use is a cisco linksys and I have tried enabling DMZ on it but it still doesn't work. Can someone give a very detailed guide as to how to enable DMZ properly or give an alternative solution to fix my problem? I'm here till Sunday and I'm dying to kill zombies online again. I get the "your connection does not support online multiplayer" error I wanna play online up here.
I have another question and maybe someone could answer it for me. How does the online mulitplayer work? Do they have dedicated servers or not?
Just bought both the game and the inapp map veruckt. It's pretty solid and fun game but horrendously overpriced. Those who are still on the fence should either totally ignore this game or get both the maps. The first map for 10 bucks isn't simply worth the money. Online play is quite good
I'd have to disagree actually. For $10, you're getting an infinitely re-playable survival fps with some of the best atmosphere and controls on the iPhone. Not to mention the fact that it has online components that run smoothly (apparently not for everybody, but when they do work, they're great). I do agree that Verruckt for $4.99 adds value above and beyond its price though. For anyone on the fence, I'd say just d/l and try the lite version. That's what stung me. Literally, I bought the game about 5 minutes after the 3rd round of the lite version when the popup asking you to buy more to continue the experience reared it's head.
