Well, as much as I like the game, the fact that I can't play it online due to supposedly unsupported router, I say it sucks. Periodically I'll go through the hassle of sticking my iPhone in DMZ, but it really bugs me that I have to do that. So yes, I'd say it's too expensive for what it is, one offline map.
Ouch. Is there any way I can tell before I purchase if my router will work with this game or not? I'm with Virgin Media, using cable broadband and their standard wireless router - anyone using this config with success?? Cheers, Jamie.
sorry to hear that. I, since I've got my iTouch have only used wifi from other peoples signals to play online (neighbors, friends, family, work, etc.) and the only game that has never worked for me to date is mc:s. Guess I have been lucky.
I'm kind of confused about this game. Is there stuff to actually do, or do you just do nothing but shoot zombies until they actually get you? That sounds like a typical castle defense game, yet the way people rave about this game, I'm thinking (and hoping) it's more than that. Is there something to this game that goes beyond that "stay alive as long as you can" gameplay that seem to make up a lot of iphone games? If so I'm sold, if not, I can't see why people would pay 10 bucks for this. And how does the online multiplayer component work? What exactly do people DO when they're in games together? Work together to kill zombies? Having never done the online multiplayer thing, I'm genuinely confused. What's the selling point of that particular feature?
go to google and look up cod nazi zombies, and it will explain the whole game. Keep in mind there is only one map... the reason this is 10 is because of the graphics and popularity of the game. the game runs smoothly over the internet, and i have no problems with lag
I hate being so cheap... lol I should have bought this app day 1 but now everytime I goto purchase it I think the app will go down $5 the next day! I like playing the 360 version but COD on the go would be pretty awesome!
And it feels exactly the same. Get it! There are over 5k reviews on iTunes averaging 4 1/2 stars. The numbers don't lie.
It does, although after 12+ waves it can get laggy with so many zombies onscreen. I do find it playable though.
When is a good time to play with someone. I would really like to play an online match, but no one is ever on.
I've found that the trick to that is to quit out of the search and try again. Then you get 4 people, right off the bat.
No it doesn't. Only one map with only one extra coming in February! That's 4 months after release, and they made millions being the #1 and #2 through Christmas. NOT a good sign for future maps. Also on 2g hardware (ipod touch 2g, iphone 3g) the performance gets too poor around wave 19-21 cuz of too many zombies on screen :-(
the dual sticks work a lot better than the swipe. I wish they'd implement NOVA's swipe instead of theirs. that said, the dual sticks are the best dual sticks I've ever used.
I didn't really like that you had to press the stick to shoot though, too bad there isn't a fire button.
I'm having a strong psychic feeling this app will so be on sale. The same thing happened when Real Racing dropped to $4.99.
