right and after being proven wrong for spreading false information he couldn't be arsed to edit his post so he doesn't come off as a tool? i take back everything then! now, i will admit that this can come off as a bit too harsh for those who take the internet a little more closer to their heart, but really, the bottom line is...don't post misleading and false information unless you really know it's confirmed. you don't just throw the word confirmed around, getting people's hopes up, and completely wasting everybody's time. and if you've been proven wrong, then have the courtesy to bring some actual clarity to your post when you edit it. it's not like everybody lives on the forums. some people will read a topic title, read the topic post, get excited, and then be left disappointed. do it for the people!
Yes, I am sick of people putting up false information. However, I don't revert to passive-aggressive sociopathy when faced with it. You may have a right to be hostile, but you should be able to recognize that exercising it does nothing but make you unpopular. Also, he did not edit the release information into his post; he just added some lines at the top of his first post and left the rest as it was because it contained actual information about Verruckt. Specifically, the screenshot. Anyone who had been following the thread would have noticed that the rest remained unchanged. Not to mention the pages upon pages of discussion about whether or not the game would be released on January 29. And while I may seem to be taking this a bit seriously, it's only because Toucharcade is a pretty friendly community and I'd hate to see it degenerate into petty insults and flame wars (or, at least, I don't want to see it spread outside of the Eliminate thread and MichaelScott). If you feel the need to prove your worth online by insulting others, go to 4chan.
really, if you want hostility, i believe you should check the post before mine by infamoussoul. again, i was just taking a jab at people that post up false information for their own enjoyment which are common. don't read too deeply into it. you are taking it too seriously, and you should calm down about toucharcade becoming some sort of chaotic never ending flame war. as for 4chan, i've never been there and don't plan on going. have a good one.
This is true. In fact, I was surprised at the age of many posters on these very forums. There was a poll/question thread sometime ago when I joined, and a decent chunk of the posters were/are young-mid teenagers. The idevices aren't just for the 21+ crowd. They also make the ultimate birthday/christmas gift.

I politely ignored the post before yours because there are always aberrant posts by people who miss the point. Especially on a point that is so obvious. When someone is Internet-swearing all over the place about how he was wrong and in the same (edited) post is excited about the information that he just said was incorrect, then it would logically follow that the first part is a later addition. More importantly, since you continued with the insults, you were starting a trend. Which, as in a different part of my post, I do not want to happen here. Well, when random flaming comes out of nowhere without a logical provocation (as is the case here, in my opinion), it's a poor sign of the good atmosphere in a forum. And besides, it's your kind of attitude that lets a kindly forum degenerate into the kind of endless flame war that I would rather not see happen. It's got to start somewhere, after all. Oh, and 4chan was just an example. I don't actually recommend going there. Good lord, that place is the most frightening place on the Internet. Cheers.
Well, the only logic I had behind mocking the OP like a schoolboy was me being sick of constantly running into false or misleading information all the damn time. So I figured I would just call him out as being what I imagine most trolls look like in real life. It has nothing to do with proving my personal worth, and I'm not picking people at random mocking them just for the hell of it. Though, I come from the school of calling a moron a moron and praising those when due. You'll have to forgive my brash nature, but some people never learn unless you bang it into their heads. Others take the nicer approach, and well, that doesn't really work in the internet land of trolls. And yeah, I'll continue to stay off of 4chan as I would like to maintain some shred of hope for humanity. Exactly. I'm just some random guy on the internet. Are you seriously going to take what I say to heart like I'm your father? The real world is outside of your door, and maybe there's stuff people out there will tell you that actually matters.
