On iPad 4 I'm sure there are some additional environmental effects that unless you look for them, you don't necessarily notice but they add too the atmosphere of the game. On the fourth sub mission of the first level when you look down the side of the cliff, the waves are moving and crashing off the rocks below for example. I've not played it on an iPad 2 so I can't comment for sure.
Keep posting away. The more positive feedback (along with the obvious sales hit it already is many, many stores), the better the chances of additions and the like. They may not be able to post here (confidentiality clauses and all that), but they most certainly read a wide range of forums and feedback. @EightRooks. Thanks, you got it exactly as I meant it, cheers.
I noticed from youtube videos, having the same graphics on iPad 2 and 4. Also in survival mode the water waves don't move. Just thrown in the game for effect. Or maybe they didn't optimize the game with retina display yet. I wish we can customize the controls, I hate having to push the scope button on the left of the screen when sniping. Also, woul be neat to maybe have team deathmatch with AI computers on your team going against other team. Then eventually have multiplayer team deathmatch. If they add multiplayer to this and expand on to this game with maps, etc. Then I believe people would dig this game and this could be the series for tablet devices. There needs to be a gamebattles iOS site were we can race, fight, shoot, etc for money we bet. Just like halo, cod, battlefield does.
Bah. The FPS controls have really been irritating me. At the very least I wish there was an option to use a fixed v-stick for movement so that you could also aim by dragging around on empty space on the left side of the screen. Sniping/aiming in iron sight mode is much more clunky than it needs to be. :/ It's also annoying that the iron sight button is on the left instead of the right -- the exact opposite of Gameloft's shooters. I really love the graphics though. It's not stunning, but it has that polished look that a console game has. It kinda looks like a GameCube (maybe Wii) game. Hoping it'll at least support the iOS 7 controllers in the future. This could be really great.
Graphics look really really nice on an ipad 3, actually I am surprised that it is ipad retina with a lot of special effects like smoke and particles in the air. Wasn't expecting that much on the ipad 3 version. Kinda makes me curious to see what it looks like on an ipad 4, but it looks really good on an ipad 3.
Awesome graphics on ipad 4. Smoke is just unbelievable. Did I accidentally just choose default difficulty as I'm finding it too easy??
I didn't notice too many differences visually between the iPad 3 and 4 other than a smoother frame on the 4, but that's not me saying the 3 stutters, not at all. It looks great on both devices. Again I think all the same environmental effects are present in the iPad 3 version but I've not had too close a look. I could only briefly compare as my wife and I played the game on our iPads side by side (I'm on a 4 and she has my 3).
Game is constantly begging to rate it and to register at activision. Your options are only "do it now" or "later". I hate this. Thank you for taking my money yet pestering me with nag screens and tokens.
Why not register and make a activate account. It saves your data, so if you wanted to delete the game and then later download it again simply login with activate account.
I'm gonna try and add some random people on this thread to my friends list. Though I suck at being competitive so I thought I'd just help you guys out to get my fellow forum members so more in-game money My ID should be "raidriar"
What are the controls like? Similar to Modern Combat I hope, because those are perfect for me. Also, is there some sort of online mode at all? I've saved up just enough to get the new iPhone so I'm not sure if I should get this (I've got about £10 extra but I have a whole list of apps I want to buy!).
Not usually a huge fan of fps or call of duty but this adds nice levels of strategy (not much) but just enough to be great.
