Sales will be close, but can't really logically compare sales of Mario with COD. Mario has been around for about 25 years, its a legendary game (series, character) COD for less than 10years. Mario has a larger audience, including kids under 10, something that COD doesnt have because its meant to be an adult game. Sales will be close, but to make a statement that Mario will outsell COD is kind of pointless and wierd.
so how many of y'all are going at midnight? I already talked to Gamestop and they said they expect around 400 people there.
Looking at it from a business standpoint, fine I guess. But its just odd to compare sales on the 2, they are nothing alike and one of them is meant for adults.
Best Buy is probably the most stocked up, Gamestop is next. So I was about to pre-order it until it was too late -_-... Gamestop closed the pre-ordering thing. So yeah, hopefully it'll be at Best Buy

lol I know what you mean, there are a ton of little pipsqueaks playing COD with mics, maybe in the 10-12 year old range. But think about how many kids 10 yrs old and younger will buy Mario and not COD, mostly because they can't buy COD or their parents wont let them.
you'd be surprised i was playing some 8 year old kid in modern warfare a while back and he was annoying as hell. another reason why im not on xbox live anymore but my anxiousness is killing me!!!!! im watching a bunch of multiplayer vids of the game right now. i would go to the midnight release, but i have classes in the morning
seriously I feel ya, Im getting so sick of the 8 year olds singing on the mics trying anything to be cool by singing along to some rap song and sounding like chipmunk idiots in the process. Really think they should make a seperate section for them, and call it "little weenie deathmatch", "chipmunk search and destroy", "no balls yet headquarters)...but it wont happen considering the game isnt meant for kids anyway. When COD 4 first came out it was great, was like 90% adults playing and on the mics for the first few months and then after that the 4th graders wanted in.
rofl seriously.... i really dont get why there's so many little children who think its funny to play porn with their stupid little friends during a gears of war session. i've found on the ps3 that there's not that many children but i just dont get why....
Unfortunately there will be more coming to the PS3 too because of the price drop, most of them own xbox's because their parents got them the cheaper console(xbox was cheaper until recently)
The little whiny kids is why I don't play with a mic anymore and mute any of them that start that crap.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to play but seriously, parents! take away the mics! Why does a 10 year old(or younger need to have a mic) I never heard any of these little punks do anything on the mic but try and sing foolishly and ask their moms whats for dinner, dessert..) Really stupid.
