I think that the glove, or "gauntlet" on his hand is a device that allows him to cast magical abilities that give him an upper hand in battle. As he progresses during the story, he will be able to gain new abilities and upgrade them for a more devastating an powerful effect. These spells in his arsenal may include healing abilities, buffs (such as defensive magic), and offensive magic. This looks like a great game and I hope I was at least semi-right Gl and happy gaming!
May be called a Caligo Chaser, finger accessory, or muscle. I think it's a magical gauntlet that throughout the game gives Zack special power ups and boosts. It has a mysterious and magical blue substance running through the cracks that helps Zack achieve his special attacks. Wow that rhymes. The color of the cracks and his hair color matching may have something to do with identifying the gauntlet or his destiny.
I believe that it is some kind of gauntlet that gives him extra abilities. The abilities ate some kinds of special attacks.
It's an energy gauntlet. It lets Zack use all his special moves in this gauntlet and it is helpful to him as a last min combo attack when he is tired and can use it to wipe out the enemies in the last minute. It is also useful to him in the initial levels because he don't have any special weapons at first.

The gauntlet does more damage than your average sword attack, and you can also use it just to look badass. I also managed to chain up combos by linking sword and gauntlet attacks. thanks to kunning if i win
