Actualy 2d games can be the most demanding games there are.. not cpu/gpu power but ram becomes quickly an issue with such ancient devices..

I dig the synergy magician carries with zahir's other turn 3/4 drops. It's becoming more apparent that a stalling, dp victory is in its wheelhouse.
Played around with a Danann deck this weekend quite a lot. After going through a number of variations, I ended up with a design focused on pumping up small creatures. The only big ones were two Raiding Parties and a full set of Banshees. Brutes or Bear Spirits were simply not needed - they were too slow, and boosted critters were almost as tough anyway. My new favorite card turned out to be Spriggan. Very clever, actually. Effectively a first turn drop that can later be turned into a big one when it's in an advantageous position.
Very nice review on Cabals by Touch Arcade! We're grateful and happy! Download links: iTunes Android Market Amazon Appstore Windows - Standalone Mac - Standalone Browser Like@ Facebook
My only worry is that dp victories will be reached before zahir has adequate time to turn the tide from its signature slow start. But I honestly can't wait to play test it. Good news on the review as well.
You obviously have no understanding about API's and iOS versions. Since 2nd generation devices cannot use iOS4.3+, in order to support them devs have to refrain from using new features.
Must admit I'm itching to play this but after two attempts to figure it out, I gave up until the tutorial was built. However, am I waiting in vain? IS there a tutorial on the way? If so, any 'due date'? If not, is there a better description on how to play anywhere? Youtube vid on gameplay or something? Prepared to sink a good few $$$ on good TCG's. Spend well over $50 on Assassins Creed so far - which seems to be the best card game on IOS to me so far - but I've not played this yet - I REALLY hope this is even better!!! Jamie.
@badmanj, the developer did state a few pages back that they are working on a more comprehensive tutorial for the next update, which is due before Christmas. In the meantime, there are better instructions on the game's website... http://www.cabalsgame.com/how_to_play.php If you read the above in conjunction with the in-app instructions, you should be good to go.
I actually found this game pretty easy to pick up, even with no proper tutorial on the app. I am no super genius either. I lost the first game quite badly, and won my second game. Give it a few games and it is easy to pick up how it works.
Can't blame the player for the lack of instructions though. It's the easiest thing todo for a developer, to become short sighted for the difficulty and accessibility after a few months. Anyway, tutorial sux but the game rox well enough to take couple matches and learn it. Our HowToPlay will guide you until the update arrives with the proper help. .Mika

I tried the game on pc but never figured it out as well. Question, has the ipad version come out? I see it as universal so it might be a silly question on my side.
The announcement (amazingly awesome though it is ) mentions nothing of the plans for asynchronous multiplayer. Are those plans still a possibility? Similarly, nothing about allowing us to win influence from multiplayer matches. Same question, still in the works? I must say, Cabals is an amazing game. Thinking back to my long, long post with asynchronous suggestions, it occurs to me that if you only let us win influence (even if ever so little) from winning games against other players, the game probably has all the aspects of progression, sense of achievement and longevity it might ever need. (Though integrated tournaments and ladders would of course be a massively cool addition ) Together with new cards, Cabals would be pretty much complete. The stuff you mention in the quoted update post? Above and beyond and far past any imaginable call of duty, and probably enough to make this the best digital TCG in history...
Hi Airdan, Yeah Universal means that you can download it for iPhone and iPad. I would recommend for everyone to play it with iPad or iPhone for greatest playing experience. http://itunes.apple.com/app/cabals-the-card-game/id463736980?mt=8 or search Cabals Card Game, with your iDevice in the App store. You will receive a Welcome pack, which includes a starter pack of your choice (all good decks) and in game currency to buy a booster or cards with. Cheers! Fascinating game world too. Hats off to KYY for creating something unique. Not entirely sure if yet more factions are needed, but would love to see some fiction set in the Cabals universe!
