No prob, looks like just a misunderstanding of what you meant.

I am still curious that at any point you would have no coding to do. My experience is that there's always something to code, no matter if you're in the early, mid, or late stages of the games' development.

  4. We are at the point in which the ai leveling looting and interactions are done and need to be tested so I can fix whatever goes wrong... So we are all working on world design so we can put the peaces in place and test them so we can move on and do more, we want to test how solid the base of the game is before we stack all the other features I've been coding ontop of it all... We are working on an in house beta before we fix features and release it to the public... Well of to bed with me I have to be up at 4 am mct and its 12:45 already... Have a good night all...

So why is it called C.O.ntact? have you reserved the name with apple yet?

  8. We have not researved the name with apple as of yet... It's called c.0.ntact with the zero because it is the first time humans have met aliens and the zero is there because when you first board the diralict ship your mind is invaded by an alien artificial intelligence that allows you to cummunicate with aliens but also floods your mind with bianary code it is it's way of cummunicating with you and there is one 0 that I not like the rest one that is a different color one that stands out it I trying to tell you something but what it is is unknown to the player for now...

why not start a blog spot web page, its free!

  12. Don't you want me here? Lol don't know if I can handle two web pages and a game at the same time I'll look into it...

  13. So Phil has given me the go ahead to talk about the dialogue as we have just finished the system... Do you all remember the interactive story's of the 80's well it's kind of like that but in a dialogue context... For example you will read and hear the dialogue and have the option to answer a b c or d... Or you can type in "give gift holo book" and you will give them the holo book, this allows you to bribe and increase your standing with that person or you coul loose some of there respect if you give them the wrong thing... This allows not only bioware style dialogue but allows the npcs to feel dynamic and real so that you can have real world interactions with them... This means you will have to get to know the charictors and there history so you can make the right dessisions to please or anger or frighten them...they currently have three levels of feeling and those are love, neutral, and hate, we will be adding more sub levels, most of the story will be told here so how you respond is very important...

Wow, the system works like in Skyrim. I dont know if mobile devices can handle that.

  15. It's actually a lot less intensive than an active system like in skyrim this isolates in a seperate scene and sets global variable and this is only for 8 charictors that are key in the story the rest are normal dialogue and a lot of the mobs cannot be spoken to... You can hear them talking but cannot talk to them...

This sounds like its making things even more complicated. Your going to have to parse all the text the user inputs and your going to have to develop your own onscreen keyboard that scales to any resolution ? the default apple one would look really out of place. not really sure there an advantage to that rather than just having a few give/take buttons. also makes it harder to output to different languages

  17. It does have give and take button you can scroll through a list or you can type it in and search for the the item like give holo book you can type it in or actually press the GUI button that is an open hand and select the holo book from your inventory... I'll talk to Phil you are right we will prob remove the typing and just have the give and interaction buttons...

  18. And this is why we post here you all have excellent input, Phil agrees and we will remove the typing, or at least syplify it...

out of interest what are you using to script things, java,c or are you using some other scripting tool

  20. We are using c as that is what I learned in college and what I used in all my school projects (one of which was making a game that ran on iOS or android)(which was the rogue like I was talking about) I have never used java but I am willing to learn it if it makes my life easier what do you prefer threecubes?
