Hey all. My wifes birthday is on wed and I am going to hold a scavenger hunt with clues and riddles sending her around the house looking for little jacket shaped envelopes ( like a jacket you wear ) with % of the money I'm going to give her for her new jacket in each one. I got the idea that maybe I could put promo codes to some games I thought she might enjoy in the jackets as well but then realized that you may not be able to purchase codes for specific games. Or are you? How would I go about purchasing codes for individual games so I could give the gift of the game to her instead of a crappy itunes gift card. Thanks,

Hmm... That's a really smart idea, but I dunno if you can. I know you can buy an app as a gift... but I really dunno how that works.
I know for sure that promocodes cannot be SOLD at any case as their sole purpose is promotion only. I believe this is stated in the Developers contact thinggy devs sign. Best is to approach the devs here and tell them you're sweet idea. I'm sure you'll get a couple codes.
I think you can buy music as a gift, but I've never been able to gift apps. (Gift cards are the best I think you can do.) I have gifted spare promo codes though. If anyone knows how to gift spare pennies from your iTunes account, let me know, I'd love to throw a few cents at some of the cool devs!
She likes very simple and common games: cake mania bejeweled flickitty kaga mochi scoops I was thinking of gifting her textopolis 2 others She can't handle soosiz, it makes her sick but stuff that's cute like that and has good production value.
You may not be able to get every code you want, but consider taking a gift card's code, and every time she finds an item, she gets 3 more characters for the card's code. Just make sure you label them so she knows what order they go in.
