I think the idea with story mode is it is supposed to be more of a puzzle game than an arcade game. Given that I know a lot of people would be upset by the lack of the "perfect" solution which is impossible with randomisation. This would be my thoughts if I made this game anyway.
Just wanted to let everyone know, I got it and like it a lot. Graphics look great in gameplay. Sound is just awesome. Seems to have a long Story Mode. I tried challenge mode and man. It is a challenge. It actually gets pretty hard. I can see myself coming back to play this game. I recommend it for people on the edge. I don't regret it for the price at all.
I have owned copies called Bust-A-Move and Puzzle Bobble so you never know Does seem to have been Bust-A-Move recently though. Argh I need this game right now.
The best thing is to not wait up. DDR S didn't come to Euro land for months after it was released in the States.
Snood came out here in Aus about 5 hours before the US, but it's been DAYS and Bust a Move is still not in the app store. It's strange because Space Invaders Infinity came out the same time everywhere.
Picked this up a couple days ago and was pleasantly surprised at how faithful it looks and sounds to the original BaM I use to play on the Sega Saturn. Really great that it's on the iphone. The controls are PERFECT too, although if you use the tap to shoot method, the game might be a little too easy. I do wish that there was a skirmish vs. CPU mode where they could drop garbage blocks on you. As it is, the challenge mode might be a little too easy. Story mode has been great so far.
For those of you outside of North America the game will be released any day now, under the title Puzzle Bobble. We haven't forgotten you guys!
Hey taito. Where is the real Bubble Bobble? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Puzzle Bobble/Bustamove but it seems you guys have abandoned the great Bubble Bobble game(s)
