So are the negative reviews to believed on the English App Store? Or are they comments from people who don't really know what they're talking about?
I'm loving the game but am curious if the Sunday Drive Pros have any tips to minimizing my time? I find it easy enough to have my car bumping along the right edge of the screen while I grab every gizmo, turbo, and stop watch I can but I'm sure there is more to record times than this.
I posted a review pretty much just ripping into those people, haha. They don't have to like the game but I felt as though they went into it expecting a full platform game or something instead of an endless runner. If they'd known what it was before buying they shouldn't have been quite so disappointed. Plus some of them are obviously kids who still look at £1.79 as a whole week's pocket money. What's your best time? I guess I'm just special, I was throwing my car all over the screen within 3-5 attempts. In a controlled manner, I mean. It's true that the controls are the most difficult aspect of the game, but that's obviously intentional. Without them it'd be incredibly easy just to keep driving forever. In most games controls are required to be easy because they're not intended to be a part of the challenge, whereas here they are.
Try to keep the car in the middle of the screen until you get better. Concentrate on just jumping but not moving too much, if you start to edge towards the left or right, tap at the opposite end of the car to hop back slightly. Always jump with single taps, don't hold down on the screen 'cause the uneven floor will just cause problems. It's really just practise Also don't forget the floor acts as a brake. If you're rolling towards the left, holding down on the floor at the left of the screen will create a bump and stop the car from rolling to the edge. Then you can gently swipe it back into the middle.
Its getting pretty good reviews in the U.S. appstore. A couple said its not worth the price, but they still gave 3-4 starts. Only a hand full of one star ratings and no 1 start reviews. Hoe it keeps up.
Many congrats on a perfectly charming and fun game. And I feel pleased and hopeful For the very same reasons. Seems like "charm" and appealing little-guy characters the player really roots for are game characteristics entirely owned by small devs -- Bumpy Road, Solipskier, Tiny Wings, Storm in a Teacup, etc. I'm not yet any good at this game, not quite clicked yet, but every time I hear those piano keys I feel happy. Thank you so much.
Keeping in such a spirit of giddiness and good humor, would you care to tell which of the developers you are among those listed in Bumpy Road's credits? In the credits I see only "This love story was written by Simon Flesser & Magnus 'Gordon" Gardebaeck I'm curious to know whether this "NinjaGorilla" is one of those two, or some other.
My best time in Sunday Drive is 59.24. I could see myself shaving a few more seconds off but not much more than that. I'd imagine a perfect run would be 50 seconds. Also, NinjaGORILLA, a minor annoyance: When the game starts up it automatically flips the Simogo logo upside down when I'm holding my iPad with the Home button to the right.
Including the time taken off for collecting gizmos? I found it really easy to get the sub 50 seconds achievement, my best score is 49.50. Just stay in the middle of the screen and don't miss anything. You can let a few gizmos go but make sure you hit all of the clocks and rockets.
I really like the game, but does anyone else wish it had a story mode? It would be awesome if instead of unlocking just pictures we could unlock levels that tell the story of their past.
My best adjusted 'time' (items subtracted) on Sunday Drive is 48.54. That run was somewhat lucky, objectively speaking.
My best Sunday drive is 47.64sec's. I find the endless mode best. I am loving bumpy road the graphics are superb and the gameplay is sweet apart from the occasional mis jumps. But it's getting easier with more practice. Overall a fantastic game.
So trying to edge over to the right clearly doesn't help anything and only means less time to react to some crucial jump, eh? My best time so far was 1:04 (with all bonuses applied), but most of the time I'm around 1:19.
Ninjagorilla, this would make for an awesome first update Also, are you guys going to port ilomilo to IOS? I didn't know this game existed until today.
