Oh I see, I don't use a pc I just use my iPod or ps3 for the net. Well if you do it's a lockscreen one that I'm after. ;-)
Update is still in review, it's taking it's time... Anyhow. We couldn't help ourselves, so Pocketgamer got the scoop on what's in this first update: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Multiformat/Bumpy+Road/news.asp?c=30573
For someone without Game Center (1st gen iPhone!), would anyone mind telling me what kind of scores the best players rack up?
Players at the top seems to be around 15000, there seems to be a couple at 18000. If you can manage 10000, you are in the top 100.
Looking forward to the update! Thanks. Dusse - also, anything under 47.65 on Sunday Trip and you're in the top 100 (All Time scores) <--is #42 at 45.80. Still haven't been able to get 8000 on Evergreen Ride, let alone 10,000.
I am at 16,000+ now I really hate that the first 15 spots on the global all times leaderboard are taken by cheaters, though.
Hi, I really like to hear there will be a huge update for Bumpy Road. Im currently on the first position in the Game Center leaderboards who didnt cheat with a score of around 45.000 points. Yes, you may say thats impossible, but nothing is impossible. Here is a picture: http://yfrog.com/h2n07rbj
Yup, it sucks. Update is not yet approved. But it should be out next week, would be very surprised if it wasn't. We've already started to work on update 2, and it's going to be bigger and badder than this one
Strangely, there one point last week when those first 15 or so (the truly unbelievabe scores) were suddenly gone, leaving only those that were 25K points and under. The following day they reappeared as if someone at Apple had flipped a switch.
Ah, yes we were experementing with putting a cap on the leaderboards, to see if it would delete the cheater posts, once we reset it. It did not. We don't want to have caps on scores - Because, as gamigo proved, you can get som insane scores, and at least now you can really tell which are cheating or not. We think that cheaters would probably find out what the cap is pretty soon. It seems that the iTunes policy is that they are not deleting score posts. I don't know what the plan is, but they must do something, because this is really spoiling the fun for lot of us.
I'm willing to take your word for it that you've seen something the rest of the players have not, given your reputation for developing good games, even if such a showing of evidence turned out to be less substantial than some of more convincing video documents or collections of reconcilable gameplay statistics throughout the recorded history of video game competition.
Isnt there a way you can tell whether or not they delibrately cheated the scoreboards?? There has to be some indication or trace they left behind of forging scores that you can use to remove their scores?
