Just want to state that this game is fantastic; great replayability, simplic yet elegant look and yes the controls are a bit of a challenge-but that makes you come back for more. And to continue about the control scheme: has anyone attempted and successfully mastered a one-fingered(index) control usage?
I find using my right index finger the easiest one finger method. But without a doubt the double thumb method is the best.
So Ninja Gorrila Any things you working on? Would love a free play mode or a more relaxed mode. Also another story would be awesome!
I used my index finger from the get go. But now that I think about it, thumbs make a lot more sense. Only started playing it an hour ago though.
Just left a nice and detailed review in iTunes. I hope people find it helpful amongst the sea of 1-star reviews.
Using one index finger is a great way to control on the iPad. But on my iPhone I go two thumbs all the way! iPad I use my left index (since I'm left handed), and I also have my right thumb should the car go to far to the right for my liking. My right thumb can come in quick to roll me back from an approaching pit.
I rarely use my thumbs on any iPhone game, it's either two fingers for stuff like Foodies and dual shooters or one finger for Bumpy Road, etc. I do use thumbs for platformers which only require pressing of virtual buttons though. For everything else it seems counter productive; I'm glad we've evolved with opposable thumbs and all, but their movement is far more restricted than free moving index fingers.
There is at least one planned update that explands the game a little. Stay tuned. Regarding how to play... I think everyone should play the way they're comfortable with. On iPhone I play dual thumbs style, but on iPad I play with my index finger(s).
+1. I'm all for more choice and variety. It'd be neat if unlocking night mode was a reward for reaching night the first time, or completing a full cycle. The main menu has room alongside the "Evergreen Ride" text for a neat little sun/moon icon
I'd love to see some new modes. A cool change of pace would be a mode in which you control a boat by creating waves. Also, this is hardly necessary, but it might be cool to see an option to change the color of the car. By the way, I just need six more pictures and I'll have earned every achievement.
I feel that the game needs a free drive mode. Maybe in that mode you just collect pics for a new story. No dying, No scores
I'm with you on this. Not a thumb person. Whatever signals my brain sends to my fingers get to my thumbs dead last, if at all.
