They're not the developer of ilomilo. They did work at Southend Interactive who did develop it, but...yeah. Loving the game by the way, and finally starting to really get a real grip of the controls. It really is completely awesome, loving the story too.
Positions (Oops, don't be misled by the subject title.) I'm trying to figure out which positions give me the best handles on the controls and can't seem to find what's best for me, on both the iPad and the iPhone. As it happens, my thumbs don't work so good in this and many games. Forefingers work better overall. Just curious about what others find most effective for them. TIA for true finger confessions.
I'm in the same boat. I top out around 1:20 and have no idea how people are rocking sub-minute scores.
I think someone else may have mentioned this, but my strategy is to sit in the middle -- don't use your finger to make the car accelerate. Then try to grab every possible item (especially the clocks and boosts), and you should get a sub-minute time. Using that strategy, I usually come in with a time less than 1:10, and that is before the bonuses are applied. My best time so far is 00:49.56. Before bonuses I was at 1:01 and some change. EDIT: just got 00:45.91!
Yeah, when you collect a rocket the car and camera tracking speed up, so it makes no difference where you are on the screen, you can't push the camera any faster Except of course right at the very end when the finish line appears, then you can shoot over.
Hey boys and girl! Just cam home from our release party, read through the thread, but realised that I'm way to... "tired" to be able to answer questions in a good way Just wanted to say this: We are amazed by the response to our game. It's unbelievable. Thanks for all the support.
I was looking forward to this game and really enjoyed the art design, but the speed is not as expected quick enough, not like that in tiny wings which gives me a sense of exciting flying. So, I got tired quickly.
Just got 59.28 using that advice even missing few turbos and stop watches, clearly this is the kick-ass advice, thanks again MedianGTX and mikeg123 for the solid strategy!
Very awesome graphic design which impressed me most. And I've been looking into this since it's out in upcoming games. Well.. but have to say it strikes disappointing somehow after few minutes to get along with it I get bored..I still wish it would head higher in top charts after all..
Excellent! Glad the tips have helped out. It really does seem counterintuitive to not accelerate manually, but that seems to work. Though I found you can accelerate at times. -- like at the very beginning, when you think you are close to the end, or any other time you start to lag fom the middle. I'm usually not an endless game kind of guy, but I can't stop playing this one. Great job devs!!!
There are some different techniques, but the best thing is too keep focused, and not freak out. A bit amazed that nonone has beaten my record yet: 00.44.73! The guy on the leaderboard with 38.20 is a cheater, because it's technically not possible. And obviously everyone above him on the leaderboards are cheaters as well. By the way - Are you guys keeping track of your own records? You do know that we have local hi score too right? Tap the crown in the main menu, there's a nice Stat page there as well if you haven't seen it!
