Well, I used all the elemental balls(all has 2% chance) to get rocky then I decided to buy 3 dragon balls(ehh whatever name it is) with 12% rate still no luck. Btw, rocky is a dragon type(which is the rarest, I guess) and at that time He got 3 hp left.. Maybe I need 7 dragon balls and call shenron instead.. Lol
Firstly, although this is only MY opinion I am trying to tackle the problems that this game has and the features/modifications it needs to compete with other games and gain popularity. Before I start with the criticisms, I will first commend the graphics of the game. They truly are the real attraction of the game. To start: I must say that I am disappointed with the game after finally being able to play it. I waited a few weeks to try it out and it is WAY too basic for the majority of the gaming community. I understand that the target of the company might be 6-12 year olds (or somewhere around this age range) but I do think that they are missing out on some revenue by making it way too simple. The game's mechanics is way too simple and apart from needing to go through all the maps, there is no variety to gameplay. Some points that need to be addressed badly: Slow Animations The battles take way too long - especially since there are numerous automatic battles around. Even if there is a 'run from battle' option, the animation for these battles take way too long and players do get irritated from having to wait this long. There is a similar game that I played before which included a 'fast-forward' button and this made the game much easier to play - without needing to waste too much time just waiting for your turn to pick an option. Diversity The game is way too simple. There is a lack of competitiveness in the game. It is just getting a monster and training it. The same monsters have the same statistics and only the level matters. Even if there is PvP involved, which I still haven't even tried since I didn't have friends when I played the game for the day, it will just boil down to your monster set-up. There is absolutely nothing to set each monster (of the same species) apart. There are no held items, statistic boosters or anything of the sort. It is an extremely basic game. One-way Street The game only follows the storyline and at the end, there is only the PvP (which I already discussed above) and there is not a lot of motivation for players to keep going. It is just about getting the best monster and winning with it - Rocky, as some suggested. Ease-of-Access - Not Easy! The navigation around the game is pretty good looking but it is hard to sometimes get around. Firstly, there needs to be a main page, especially at the start, to replace the monster ranch where it will offer a button to go to the ranch, to the item shop, to explore, etc. I understand these are all available in the monster ranch at the moment but it isn't really that clear and this main page will put everything into perspective and will help players into understand exactly where everything is. Obviously, there are a lot more modifications that must be implemented. Even though the game is still on its first stage, unless there is a drastic change to some of its mechanics, I don't see even a fraction of the gaming community playing this game. They might try it but it will not take them an hour to understand how basic the game is. A competitive game will bring revenue to the game-makers and will gets the competitive juices of the players going; this game certainly isn't that. It is way too casual. Also, the advertisements are way too distracting and adding an option to remove it will bring in some income but it might be a lost cause if no one is playing anyway. I was probably hoping way too much for this game to be excellent so I was disappointed when I tried it but this is a game where, if I spend time and money on it, I will regret playing it later on. There is basically no end game and the 'achievements' you achieve by the end will not be worth it, in my opinion. I am sorry if I slightly offend those who do like this game but I just want to convey my opinion. I think this game just needs some modifications for it to be useful but, as of right now, it is not worth it. I have NUMEROUS suggestions on how to improve the game to make it more lucrative and offer more to the players but really there needs to be a drastic change to the game play (as in make it more competitive) first before all the kinks and cogs should be changed to further improve it. If the game is still alive after a month or two, I will try it again and see how it is. I'm hoping there will be a number of changes and a lot more new features after the next update.
Trading With regards to trading, I am sure players would like this now but looking at the monsters, players can get whatever monster is needed on their own and it won't be different to the monster that their friends/competitors have at the same level. If it is a hard task to implement, it is most definitely not worth the time (especially if it takes way too long), at the moment, if it takes away from other features being added. However, when the game is improved and become more competitive, I will assure the company that they will gain a lot of revenue from adding a trading feature.
Thx for your comment. For Slow Animation, we think that 'fast-forward' button is not match the world of bulu monster. For other part, we will keep improving it. But I will take time. Anyway~ Thx for playing. I remember someone in Touch Arcade say that a Pokemon like game is very difficult to a small studio to make it. We totally agree with him now
Update content in Bulu Monster 1.0.2 1. Reward Adjust: Add 1 Friend will have 5 bulu point point 2. Force_No_Evolution 200bulu -> 30 bulu point 3. Monster_rename 10 bulu -> 5 bulu point 4. Support iOS 7 Beta 3 (For Edeii Lucas I) 5. Fix Friend List Loading Bug (After you have 11 friend, this problem occur)
Thanks for the update now i accepted everyones friend request and got 1 bulu instead of 5 per person. Force no evolution says 200 on mine still. There are still times it closes out on me in the lava map. I get like 20mims in it then the game closes out. Ill take a screenie of what place im talking about.
I'll start by stating that like some others, I am very impressed by the production values in Bulu Monster. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of some tutorial/reference information (or maybe I am missing it?) related to strengths and weaknesses, as well as the impact of statistics and the individual capture rarity value. These are not major points and could easily be addressed in a future update. What I don't agree with is the lack of an ability to grind for quest rewards ( points, potions, balls) through quests in earlier zones. This makes the potential of earning enough of these items for ongoing use, or to,purchase additional monsters, extremely challenging from what I see (given I'm only level ~20 with my highest). This is discouraging and makes me less interested in proceeding with play. I don't mind spending money on the game (how about unlocking a way to earn Bulu points as currency from each fight) but will not be put in a position to keep spending money over time for core gameplay elements. I would rather have paid $10 for a full nonIAP game. Anyone with similar concerns?
Thx for your comment Talaen. Can you tell us what team you are using and which Map you are currently in?
It never asked. It asked for water for some reason to walk on lava lol. I don't know. I will find more bugs for you to fix. Also at the volcano themed battle against friends. Behind the oponnents monsters name there are bits and peices of the volcano errupting. I will take a screenshot if you want me to.
Sigma, I came up with a good way to gain bulu points for a future update so people don't complain like the person already on this thread is doing. After a story-driven fake/AI battle, we should get like 25-50 bulu points if we win. Depends on what map you are on. If we are 3 away from finishing the maps. We should get 100-250 bulu points after we win a rival AI battle. This might make it better. Depends if you think it is the right thing to do. If you need more detail, or explanation for this. I will gladly explain in PM. Also this popped in my head, in the store put all the monsters we can buy with bulu points in a mystery machine box and we can pay to pull for a rare one, or it will detect what monsters we have and try to get a monster you don't have yet. Last, put the three starting monsters up for sale in the store only without being in a box. So people can buy them and collect all the monsters. But if we chose the water type, the water type won't show in the store just the other two types will and vice versa.
How do I make it passed ghost town? I found all monsters and went everywhere it seems, but can't find a way out. Any help?
There is a person saying there is a letter at the cemetary but there isn't anything there. I have been everywhere in ghost town and it won't unlock the new map. A bug?
