How is twin blades? Anyone tried it? Also heard a lot about yesterday but point and click adventures aren't exactly my favorite game genre. Any impressions of that one?

After looking at earlier posts I see that Yesterday may be a bit more that just your average point and click. May pick that one up. Especially since it's only .99

I just started playing Yesterday and it's your typical point-and-click, so if you don't like the genre this isn't going to change your mind; however, it's very easy so far and the hint system will practically hold your hand through all the item puzzles if you just want to play for the story.

No reason not to try out the lite version first.

Was thinking of getting Smooth Operators but everyone in the thread seemed pretty overwhelmed by it. Anyone recommend it?

Twin Blades is fun, it's a well animated side scroller beat-em-up like Zombieville only more stylish. I doubt it'll ever be in widescreen.

Downloaded it shortly after my post. Haven't tried it yet, as it looks like one I'll want to spend a bit of time playing (can't now as I must go to bed #). I don't find point and click games necessarily difficult, just not usually my favorite types of games. I have a feeling this May be an exception though. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks undeadcow. Really like Zombieville 2 so I may give this a shot.. No widescreen for Twin Blades though, that's kinda strange...

Edit: I see it was last updated in 2010 so that explains it.

Twin Blades released in 2009; the icon still has an OpenFient logo (and it was never updated to remove Open Fient). I just re-downloaded it and the gameplay is fun but the iPod/iPhone edition is blurry and not Retina. The jumping gives gameplay a kinetic feel but I'd advise buyers beware of Twin Blades (non-HD) may be getting antiquated. Last updated April 2010.

    Edit: Ninja'ed.

I can recommend PinWar (got it months ago, still playing sometimes; the IAPs are completely optional). Was never cheaper than now ($.99). Some of the other Bulkypix sales were free before.

Good prices but it's really annoying when apps go on sale for $0.99 and then cost £0.99 here in the UK

Bardbarian is only $1, 80 mb, and has a lot of content. Get it.

Anti squads IAP can get aggravating, the combat feels inclined to make you upgrade your soldiers, it's an okay game though.

If i were to rank the ones in your list:

    1. Bardbarian

From that list dont hesitate to get Bardbarian, a great mix of genres and 3 modes totally different from each other.

Also get Orborun if you dont have it. Best ball roller since Indiana Stone: The Brave and the Bold.

    quick help

another world wait for $1 if you played it to death back in the golden age of gaming. i wouldn't buy it only because I finished it so many times on my computer when i was a little kid. 3/5 stars

tiny token empires i must have got when it was free, its a match 3 that is so-so, if your a die hard match 3 fan then get it. be aware of crashing on some devices etc. 2/5 stars

bardbarian an overall fun gameplay mix, worth getting for $1 4/5 stars

Bardbarian is a must-play, especially for the price.

As is the Runaway series. Surprised their other adventure game, Hollywood Monsters, isn't part of the sale.
