would be really cool if loading times, especially menu would be faster, hope cave can fix that. and of course the game really needs restart button. edit: i really like this game but there is one thing in the game design i really hate, it is that you loose all bombs on hit, somehow it feels quite unfair i would say.
Hm... I don't agree with that. That is perfect for strategy and makes you gumble for your score. I found it's better to manualy use bombs on critical points on stage then risk all your bombs for one hit. Only if I already have one bomb I don't use it manualy. That helps increasing score, expecialy on Original mode since you don't have hit countrer to break. Finally... After 10+ hours spent in this game I eat my words and can easly say... This is one of the best Cave games! I mean.. I have all of them and its hard to pick one as favorite but this one is really, really awesome! Can't wait to see what Cave will bring us next!
Totally agree Even with ESPII reigning as my favorite Cave game since I started playing Cave games... this is starting to rip, tear, and claw its way into that #1 spot... =oD loving it!

honestly it would be really good if cave could optimize menu loading times, actually they should do it because it's unacceptable for mobile game, or at least add restart button. trying to play on higher difficulty levels on ultra mode really shows how slow are menus.
What's the best Cave game? New to Cave games, looking at Esgapulda (smartphone version better?) and Bug princess. Suggestions on which is the better/cooler or whatev game please?
both games are very good, but espgaluda has much more complicated scoring system but at the same time it is more easy to play it even on highest difficulty especially in smartphone version than bug princess. but there are lite version of all cave games and explanation of the scoring systems is also here on ta, so should be easy to decide which game is more suitable.
If you're new to Cave games, Bug Princess is a pretty good place to start. The scoring is pretty simple (which I love), and the adjustable difficulty is great as you get better and can try harder difficulty. I'm not good, but I'm enjoying the ultra mode on hell difficulty...despite dying every 30 seconds. It seems like every 2 times you get game over, you get one more continue. So eventually with enough continues, I should be able to beat the game on the hardest difficulty. =D
I've noticed you are still better off to use the bomb than be hit and let the bomb go off on its own. The former will have your hit counter decreasing over the duration of the bomb, but letting it go off on its own will totally reset your hit counter to 0.
This game looks positively horrible on iPad. I wish they had made Espgaluda HDish res game for iPad. I don't play in the largest screen mode either. But even at 2X of native res, the game looks bad.
Thats correct but that stands for Maniac and Ultra modes... For Original mode it doesn't matter. I wish I had iPhone 4S to test my skills in Ultra Hell difficulty because on 3GS its almost unplayable due all that bullet mess going on screen
Basically to get high scores you have to chain, stay close to enemies at certain times, 1-CC, and play on Hell...though I found a tiny ironic secret to getting decent scores, well, at least enough to fulfill the achievements...worked a charm as I am 1 of 9 people that have scored over 40m in Ultra...here's a tip: continue ASAP in the first stage, and then follow the instructions above...18 M in the first stage if youre good enough
Is $5 the sale price? I remember Mushihimesama Bug Panic's full price was $5 as well so I'm just wondering if the current price is still the full price as it's a new game or if it's already on sale? I love Bug Panic but somehow Bug Princess doesn't look or sound sharp enough.
