You can either switch to shot, or you can enable your shot off button, and whenever your shot is switched to off, you suck in coins as well...
I can get around 42mil without getting it to 9999, and I can't improve that, really frustrating The shedding on midboss would be crazy
Drink at least a case of red bull and a strong cup of coffee and then tell the player this isn't fantasy but real life.... your life!!! ... And then they achieve insane scores Just my two cents worth;)

My stage 1 score sucks. It's lower than my stage one score on 360 usually. I don't understand the 120mil+ scores yet though. There must be some kind of exploit because the top arcade players rarely got over ~80mil depending on ship. I can get counter to 9999 about half way through the midboss if I'm using Palm otherwise it's usually not until I collect the gems from killing the midboss that I hit 9999 with Reco. This game is so good.
ha... I haven't even tried playing with Palm... dunno why... =o/ again, I feel completely stupid... ** well... managed to hit 43 million... =oP Guess it's a little better.
Definitely but I lose a lot of ground on stage 4 because he kills the grasshoppers/caterpillars so fast. Haven't figured out a good strategy for that yet.
If anyone figures out how to score 100-120mil on stage 1 original PLEASE post it here haha. I'm desperate.
That's true, they go down quite fast with him. I find Reco options kinda hard to control though. I need to stop trying to play perfectly and start having some fun =3 I just can't get good scores *tries to accept the harsh truth*
I'm thinking the same thing... Just accept that I'll never really be able to compete on the leaderboards, and that I'll never be able to get a perfect run-through on any level... =oP Gotta just start playing for fun again. =oD
Whenever I start playing I think to myself: "Ok, now, this will be for fun, and I will hit the continue button if I fail", 1 minute later I'm trying to get a good score, 5 minutes later I get a continue screen, and answer "NO" because I will not get a good score anymore... makes me sad
lol... GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I would KILL for a restart button... *oh my god... and some Joypad app control for the buttons... =oO Just hold an iPod in one hand, and control the shot off and shot change... and then use your other hand for controlling your character... ***droooooooooooooooooool***
I don't know if my brain would cope with that, but I see something similar being really cool. Using an iPhone/iPod as controller and the game itself running on my iPad... that would be awesome
If they just gave you two buttons , one for each shot type it would be great. I'm already holding a button half the time anyway. Just make it so you don't shoot when no button is held and Maniac/God would be so much better. I'm gonna give Boss Rush another shot. It starts too easy and takes way too long to get harder so I usually quit.
