SWEET! It's going to be a long night after class! Version 1.1.1 - added a warning message for people to start a new profile(if they haven't already done so since updating to 1.1) - added new Ant equipment: Big Bullets - added new Spider equipment: Wolf Spider Pistols - added new Beetle abilities: Regen & Repel
Yep But keep in mind they are not a replacement for Ant -- they still have a completely different role, and to keep it balanced have a few negative trade-offs. While they are greatly more powerful then Ant's MG, they are slow firing (making them much worse against lots of smaller bugs), reduce Spider's move speed, and also reduce her defenses a bit. They're really meant to be a weapon that you constantly switch to and from, getting a good mix of pistols and swords in a single battle. While you can sit there and hang back with pistols equipped forever, you'll find that they aren't as effective that way, and probably not worth the money. And as always, we'll be keeping our eyes open for any balance issues (underpowered, or overpowered), of course as long as it doesn't detract from the "vision" of the game.
No, this happens every time I use earthquake jump on office easy on my current game save. I am not doing anything out of the ordinary or such...
Just loaded up the update and it's already made my day...I haven't even played it yet either! Section for upcoming heroes. Silhouettes of upcoming heroes. One can only imagine the amount of diversity and strategy there is to come once these get implemented. Foursaken Media you have a damn good way of teasing us. Thanks!
It sort of looks like there may be a wizard bug coming up. The one second from the right seems to be wearing a wizard hat and holding a staff.
You thought those were silhouettes, didn't you? They're not. I present to you, the pictures of all upcoming heroes: Images have been edited slightly so that you can actually see the heroes.
Dang, you guys are good Might as well share the 2nd hero then The Ladybug Fencer... a somewhat jack of all trades hero armed with a button shield and a needle sword. Her abilities and equipment focus on defense, dealing high damage over time, as well as a variety of skill based blocking maneuvers (timing is key!).
The lady bug looks cool, but aim really curious what the wizzard/monk can.... Also the new ability voor Repel for beatle looks really good and has a great affect on the bigger bugs what makes it really powerfull!!!
This is awesome. Makes me want to quit my day job. I am more excited over the Bug Heroes update plans than for any console game in recent memory.
Game Impressions She looks sweet! My play style is a balance of offense and defense, so ladybug sounds like a possible perfect fit. Also I did my 1st test run with Beetle and his new skills in the Coliseum: - Sink. - Normal. - Round 16. - 19200 pts. Skills: - Repel. - Shield. - Regen+. - Squash 'Em. I had a fully upgraded Wrench and I died from being pinned by the 2 Queen Ant's armies and a bunch of randoms just after I killed one Queen Ant. They spawned shortly after one another and I got a little careless but it was still very good numbers considering it was my 1st run with the new skills. I'm going to try it a couple more times (1. using Adrenaline for Squash 'Em and 2. using Warrior Gauntlet for Squash 'Em) to see if I can fare better with some different skill choices. I feel Beetle is now a true Meat Shield with the Repel ability. The Regen+ with your passive regen maxed is just beast in Coliseum. That run put me 4th on the leaderboards which isn't to bad at all. In Adventure mode, I'd use one of Beetle's normal skills over Regen+. I do like Big Bullets for Coliseum using Ant+upgrading the machine gun once. It does some pretty noticeable damage both passive and active. Spider's Wolf Pistols are fun to play with but I can't take them to seriously as is compared to her normal weapons. As said, you do notice that they are powerful, but at the cost of slower movement and a long reload time. When your speed is fully upgraded+maxed mushroom, you'll feel a lot easier usage and I love the fact you can switch between weapons almost at will but still...I prefer her normal skills. All in all this is another SOLID update.
I knew there was going to be a regen ability for Beetle! None of the new items fit into my playstyle unfortuantely.
forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere and i missed it, but are the new heroes going to be IAP, or in a free update? great game so far, although i must admit i'm certainly not the most adept at it. i seem to have a bunker mentality. stay near my stash and take what comes to me.
As far as the bunker mentality, to each is own but I think once you get more comfortable with the game overall and adapt...You'll do just fine.
HOLY SLUGS!!! Those new heroes look amazing!!! I'm gonna HAVE to buy the IAP pack now. And... I made it to round 26 on Normal Kitchen!
Eeeexcellleeent.... Btw if you guys could re-write your reviews or re-rate Bug Heroes for the new version that would be greatly appreciated!
