I would start testing home button saving. It really doesn't bug me but can get quite annoying. But other than that fantastic job and great work be proud!!! I'm having a great deal of fun with this app and it works extremely well on my second generation 16GB touch! although i have encountered a crash during gameplay so i really hope you fix it!
I hope you decide universal. Don't get me wrong i want to support the devs. with my money but i shouldn't have to buy a game twice. Maybe if devs started doing a $.99 universal update or something for ipad users, that would be awesome and totally fair. Just some of my thoughts. What does everyone think about paying for a universal update do you think that's fair??? instead of paying full price for a seperate ipad version...
looks impressive and with the video i saw i was convinced but then i saw IAP and im wondering what will come in these paid updates, and my second question is; you loose all your RPG progress when you advance levels?
I'd pay an extra $1 for an iPad graphic rescaling, maybe even $2 if it also meant special new iPad exclusive features besides the rescaling.
Currently there are no IAPs, but if we do add them in the future they will be fairly priced and completely extra. We feel that with such a low starting price of $1.99 for the content we currently have in Bug Heroes, charging a small price for some of the larger content additions we have planned will be fair. We have no intention of gauging our users by having 100 different tiny things that each cost a dollar, but on the flip side we have to be fair to ourselves, especially considering the size of some of the updates we have planned (new heroes with entirely new skill sets and equipments, new levels with entire new sets of enemies, etc -- a single hero can take up to a month to create!). And as mentioned before if we DO have IAP, it will be in addition to free content updates as well, such as new equipment and other things. As far as RPG progress is concerned, some of it you lose, some of it you keep. Visual armor add-ons are persistent for example, and there are persistent "ranks/levels" that are based on cumulative experience. Then other things like your current equipment load out is bought and customized each game.
You guys rock. I think most users will have no issue with IAP for great content. Glad to see you're not taking the com2us route and charging an arm and a leg for dozens of IAP consumables.
LOL....ye the game is awesome, fantastic and all what u want...but it's endless, isn't it? what a shame! no campaign mode...devs buh!
ok so spent some time with it. i have to say i am not really liking your own leaderboards and achievments system. why didn't you guys just start out with gamecenter? like what s the point of creating your own system? i think gc is alot more organized and makes more sense anyways....i don't really understand the leaderboards for colisium. is it specific to each difficulty and character? o and also, what are you favorite characters so far? and also which colisium map do you like better? i would like more powerups like the mushrooms in the tree stump map in the future. i wish there were powerups in the sink map....
Most fair. And if it enables you to continue developing Bug Heroes, as well as other titles, each IAP will, from an extended perspective, be a gift to us users
Spent some time with the game... I'm lovin it!! Finally i entered the leaderboards, n.2 in kitchen, easy mode ^^ Now I must only see which skills Are better for each char. Hope to' see different weapons, not 20/30.. 2/3 per bug.. IMHO it should be' fun the beetle with a match burning some ants :asd:
New weapons will come in an update, but we are trying our best to keep the heroes as unique as possible... unfortunately the more weapons they have, its either they don't really make a difference, or the more their roles start to bleed together. Thanks for the feedback! We opted to do our own because we have a lot more flexibility with it... with our own we can have these awesome achievement badges for example, in a nice huge size, and we have a place to list all of the character stats. Out of curiosity what is confusing about our achievements? Imo its nice just to have it built right into the game itself... and it looks a lot cleaner. The thing about the leaderboards is that GC does not decide how they are arranged... whether we started with GC or not, it would be organized exactly the same way as it currently is, which is -- one high score per level, per difficulty. We wanted to avoid having a million scores on the same leaderboard from one person, so we only allow your highest coliseum score, no matter which hero, be able to post. We may look into a power-up for sink though Ideas? And the game requires 4.0 :/
First impression- very solid game. i have a 1st gen ipod running 3.1.2 and it runs just fine for me. I didnt really expect it too! i bought the game to simply support great developers and im happy it runs fine. The game seems like it has plenty of depth. I clearly know where i am going to want to use each hero and the upgrading only furthers the strategy. This and ny zombies have been some of my favorite ipod games. period. Thanks foresakin media, it seems like you have a nack for strategic but still accessible games on the ipod!
Thanks seang, glad to hear you are able to run it even on a 1st gen ipod! So... we have been working nonstop to try to eliminate some of the bugs and crashes people have come across (most should be very rare though). We'll be submitting an update this weekend which will fix a number of things. Additionally, we might just be able to squeeze in a couple new pieces of equipment Key word there is might. We are more focused on fixing some of the stability issues and making sure the game is running smoothly first and foremost.
I was skeptical, but this game is great. I have barely begun to scratch the surface of upgrade combinations. It is ridiculously complex but somehow manageable.
