Well, the thing is, I can't predict when I'll lose, because one mistake, and my food supply is gobbled up. Most of my losses are a result of my food running out, not death.
mmm, I see. just curious, when it crashes when you try to post your score, does your iPad happen to be plugged into a computer or charger?
Thanks for the answer, I didn't want to beg a game but I was finding it was the NYZ price was decreasing too fastly. It was my only pain for this game ! Hope Bug Heroes will have more success because I know it's a good work... Didn't want to offend you...
What I wanted to say here is I prefer a beginning title at 0.99 $ for introduce it then raise price and not the contrary !
The reality is no matter when a game goes on sale, someone will always feel "it was too short of a time to go on sale" or that they were short changed. Its a tough decision bc you will piss some people off no matter what, but in the end you gotta do what you gotta do... Anyway, Bug Heroes has been out for nearly 2 months, so imo a sale is fair game whenever at this point... thats not to say we will or won't do a sale soon, so don't read into that. I'm just saying IF we did do a sale, I wouldn't feel like we're ripping anyone off. Heck, tbh as a consumer by now I understand sales are out of my control... if I want a game and think its worth the current price, I'll get it -- simple as that. If it doesn't look worth the current price, I'll wait for a sale... or probably forget about it Imo it really shouldn't have anything to do with a sale... it SHOULD just be a simple as: "Was this game worth it for the price i paid?" -- no matter what that price was. ------------------ Anyway, on to relevant news Submitting the update today. A quick recap on what it will include: - A 1 time pop up message when you first update the game just reminding you if you haven't already done so, you must create a new profile (just to make sure for those who don't read the update messages). I want to make sure people understand you do not need to create another new profile for 1.11 if you already did so for 1.1. the message is just for those who are having issues and didn't know that they needed to create a new profile. - 1 new equipment for Ant, 1 new equipment for Spider and 2 new equipments for beetle... as a sort of apology for screwing over peoples' data >_< We definitely didn't plan on cranking these equipments out so fast and soon after the last update... - a few crash fixes
Heck, at the "full" price of $2 the only ones you're ripping off is yourself. I've played a lot of games from the app store that leave me thinking, "well, ok, I guess I got my $1/$2/$3 good out of it". Bug Heroes was one of those few titles I almost immediately thought I got my money's worth out of and would have been willing to pay more. Fantastically imaginative and polished; it's worth more than $2 easy.
Foursaken, your quote:"Plasma cannon is 100% accurate, but it will explode on any obstacle or enemy in its path, which is why you actually want to target the ground more then actually ON enemies." 1st, i don't understand the targeting thing. what is the difference between touching a bug vs the ground? am i supposed to touch the ground behind or in front of the bugs? 2nd, any targeting hints for assassin cut and stampede? i currently touch anywhere along the path line i want, usually on a bug.
Thanks C.Hannum and ps49556n Well, there isn't that big of a different... its just sometimes you can better spread out the AOE damage if you tap on the ground instead of directly on a bug... for example lets say you have 2 bugs a little bit away from each other... if you tap on the ground between them, you can hit both of them. If you tap directly on one of the bugs, the explosion probably won't hit the other one. All in all its not that big a difference. Then again, you do more damage with a direct hit so it really depends on the situation... Also you just have to make sure that nothing is in the line of the plasma bullet before you shoot, bc unlike stampede or assassin cut it doesn't actually go through enemies... if you're trying to shoot at a slug for ex that is 20 inches away, but a flea is standing right in front of you, the plasma bullet will explode on the flea first. As for assassin cut and stampede, yeah that is the best way... just tap any point along the path you'd like to take.
thanks foursaken for the plasma cannon/stampede explanation. that makes sense now. I originally thought plasma cannon acted like stampede.
As I still do poorly in the game and I find those harder enemies (HMG, big worm, grenade roach, etc) appears much earlier now in Easy Level, I would like to know: Should I take the missions as their appear? Should I upgrade my base first instead of my heroes' weapons? What attributes are most essential? Sorry, just feel like becoming a noob once again.
I just discovered a dangerous bug (glitch). If you use Smoke Ninja while Superior Assassin is active, Superior Assassin's effect is canceled (Or so I've observed). I must say, Pond is really a great level. Requires unique strategy, and is quite challenging. Kudos. Score posted. I wonder if iJay's onto something about the device being plugged in when you attempt to submit the score.
You don't go into a game like this looking for biological accuracy I'm pretty sure I don't remember any sort of grub launchers from grad school, and while I worked with many thousands of ants on my thesis, never saw any of them swinging hammers It's just such a great and gleeful use of the theme instead of being another "Roach Madness" or "Bug Squash" type dreck. And it's a kickass game on top of that. --------------------------------- After staying up too late last night trying to unlock more stuff, I decided to pimp the game to my Facebook feed this morning to do some WOM evangelizing. I can't believe there's only 171 people listed on Game Center for this thing. Now I'm sure some it is people who haven't updated yet, but, sheesh, this game should be first thing you see when you go to the app store, not some pimped by fake reviews Com2US shovel ware yet-another-endless-runner meets yet-another-zombie game.
I ran into a crash bug last night that I was able to recreate in the Playroom. After the 1st round(pretty sure, but it could have been after the 2nd) when the food prompt appears, I went to the bottom right of the level in the little hidden area...there are some enemies that spawn right where the food is...the second I touched the food with either character, it crashes. I boot the game up again to continue my save and it happens over and over from it's current save(only). This has happened on 2 separate occasions only in that area when picking up food. Just wanted to give a heads up on it because it doesn't happen all the time. I'm just glad when I recreated it; it happened on earlier rounds.
